I'm back!

Yes, it was a short break, but it was a break.  And Lord knows , DH and I both needed one.
And yes, it rained the whole time we were gone.  And the ocean was wild, and Maine was  very wet.

But hey, it was Maine.

We ate lots of seafood, shopped, swam in the pool, and generally just didn't think about much of anything.

That's heaven, sometimes, don't ya' think?  To just not think about anything??

I will be going to Maine for a week later in the summer, but for now, I have to be satisfied with  just a taste.

We were not like this guy, however, surfing in this freezing cold water.

I would have liked to take this little car for a spin.  Isn't it sweet?
Reminds me of being a teenager.

But now the mini vacay is over, and it is back to work.  I just delivered a LOT of rugs to a shop in Maine, so I need to get weaving.
And I have a news bulletin about BUBBALEE.   She has TWO kittens.  I have not seen them, but the people who own the shed where she is keeping them did.
They said one looks like her, and one looks like Bunnynose.  We knew he was the Dad.
Now we have to make a plan to catch them soon, so we can socialize them, and save them from the road.  They will be 5 weeks old this coming Saturday, so the clock is ticking.
But tonight......the finale of THE GOOD WIFE.
I can't wait.

I love Maine - it's in my blood. Both parents and both my brothers were born there. I was born in NY after they moved from Maine. Went to Maine every summer, and keep in touch with a few cousins from there. My brother moved back there after high school but recently left Maine for FL. I am very mad at him.....he was my spot to go to in Maine in Old Orchard Beach. I miss Maine. Was supposed to take a trip up there this week. It got cancelled. Too many animals at home to leave behind. Hubby isn't comfy with me going alone.
So thank you for the touch of Maine. It is in my blood and I always hate leaving.
Glad your vacation was so sweet - sounds like it was the perfect break!

I've been reading your blog for awhile now and enjoying it very much. My family and I moved from Maine to NC last October and just when I'm feeling a little homesick I see my hometown was the place for your mini vacation! It's a wonderful place, I'm glad you liked it! I hope you had a lobster!

Aww, I'm just waiting for a glimpse of those little kitties! Praying you get an opportunity to socialize them.

I heart that car. I'd park it in my sideyard, throw open the doors and plant petunias in it. SO cute!

What great pictures you take Hilary! Fresh lobster and seafood on vacation is enough for me!

Thanks for the Bubbalee update, it does my heart good to hear she is watched over by so many loving people keeping her safe. You are wonderful!

Here I am again. Lurking your blog. I do love reading what you have to say and enjoying your pictures!! I too am a fan of 'The Good Wife', what did you think of the finale?
My DH told me the show was one of many 'on the bubble' which he explained means... may or may not be renewed to come back next season. I sure hope it is renewed.

Welcome to my world.
