Crazy as a Loom

Best laid plans.

I feel a little like Sydney, and it is evident that she has gained a couple of pounds.
Talk about molding yourself to a box.
Thank goodness for duct tape.

For myself, I confess, I have used food at times during the last five months, to make myself feel better.
Desserts don't do a thing for my headache, but they are a tasty distraction.
But time to get back to eating right.   Practice a little restraint.
I am done with diets for my whole life, because I figure if I walk every day, and eat healthy, good foods, that is enough.
I just have to practice what I preach.
It's ok to be bad, just not every day, every meal.

The studio was bathed in sunshine this morning.  It is one of my favorite times there.

I got the Shacht bench adjusted to my height.
The loom is waiting for a warp.

I didn't get much computer work done, there was a work stoppage.

What?   You didn't know potholders grow on trees???
Maybe it's a northeast thing.

I was actually straightening up the place, and was about to take the tree  to the attic, then decided not to.
It just needed a purpose.
Don't we all.

Just another day in paradise.

With lots of color to cheer us up.

On to a small order on the Cranbrook, which we hope to free up soon for a new warp, because we are planning to weave double binding rugs.
I can't wait.

The rain is coming, but it's hard to complain when it is 56 degrees out there.
Besides, life is good in so many ways.

Be thankful for what you have; you'll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don't have, you will never, ever have enough."
-- Oprah Winfrey

Amen.

Your cats are hilarious...like you. Sydney and my Sierra should be friends. The first photo of your studio looks like a magazine shot. I am so envious of a good camera these days. Mine broke. The tree...I love it. It screams "SPRING" so just leave it out and hopefully we are done with winter. "HI ROY" hugs, Deb

So can Sydney read? Does she know that's her box vs the other box? Just wondering .. this morning Jack and Rose played musical mats .. first she was on the big one and he was mostly on the small one .. then they swapped ...

And I love the pot holder tree!!!!

That tree was made to serve your potholders and show them off. It's perfect, Hilary!

So, couple random thoughts. I LOVE your loom room - glorious picture. I was at a rug hooking meeting last weekend and one of the ladies said something about comfort eating and the most powerful, positive, never a bad day, invincible, last person on earth I ever thought I'd hear say "Well, some days that's all you have left." I was blown away. Maybe we *are* all doing okay :-).

The wonderful picture of the loom in the sunshine reminds me of John Denver's song "Sunshine on My Shoulders Makes me Happy".

Glad you are feeling better.
