Not sick of Maine yet?

Ava is loving my chair!!!!
Yes, you named it, it is a Puff Chair.  And I really, really want one.

We did quite a bit of lounging around, in the sun, and out.

But we did take a day trip to explore.  This is a very cool bakery, in the back of the book store in Blue Hill.

We also did a lot of eating, some of us more than others I'm afraid.
We ate out..........

And sometimes we cooked in.........

I usually have to 'concoct' one dish while I am on vacation.  This one was a lot of fresh vegetables.

Which I eventually mixed in with this tempeh, brown rice, onion and mushroom combo.

The kids just looked at me.  What IS that????
But they love to have Mimi standing ready by the stove, spatula in hand, ready to make them breakfast.......pancakes???  french toast???
That will probably be what they remember best.  With fresh Maine blueberries, of course.

How about a nice bonfire with s'mores, or campfire donuts???

But surprisingly, as beautiful as Maine is, I believe what we loved most about this vacation was right under our noses.

I love that you are still taking time to relax. The last photo is awesome with the blues.

I don't think I could grow tired of Maine. Unless I was there in the dead of winter with snow all around me!
Love your pictures. Love the thought of relaxing and exploring with the kids and grands!

Campfire donuts? That has me wondering, if you warm a donut on a stick over the fire? Thought your mushroom offering looked very tasty!

Hope the hubs is doing better and you are still in a relaxed mood. Hug the Roy Boy for me.

I've been away from blogs for most of the week, so am late to say how wonderful it is that your DH is home and recuperating. Of course it's crappy that he had a stroke and I imagine that your Florence Nightingale abilities will be taxed to the max over the next weeks, but OH how wonderful that he got help in time and that things weren't worse.
I'm sending healing wishes and prayers for peace and quietude to you and your DH.
Grace .... and yes, Maine looks heavenly. I've never heard a loon IRL.
