Crazy as a Loom

Exhaustion

Autumn is in the air.  And I love it.
The only thing I don't like about it, is that it goes by so fast.
It is my favorite time of year.
My granddaughter saw this little one, and alerted me.  Fortunately, I had my NEW and AWESOME recently purchased lens on, so I zoomed right in.
Nothing like a little apple for breakfast.

I went to her morning program at school.......I think it made her happy..........what do you think???

I didn't blog last night, cause I was in bed at EIGHT PM......for real.  I was so tired, I could barely keep my eyes open.  I knew you would understand.

Here is one of my most recent students, and NEW WEAVER, with her finished project.
I know that she is one lady that is going to continue to weave, and will soon want a loom of her own.
She did a nice job.
I do love teaching people to weave.  It makes me feel good.

L notified of the problem with WASTE going on at the bird feeder.....not eating them all, to the point that they sprout, for crying out loud.
What's up with that???

I have a confession to make.  I almost just bought a new car.
Yes, really.
For some reason I have been wanting a VW Beetle.....a brand new one.  I went and tried one out, and decided to do it.
Then I came home, and thought more about it.
My problem was that I wanted to keep my old Hyundai Santa Fe.  I carry my kayaks on it, it is in good shape....I fill it full of everything you can imagine, including grandkids, and all their junk.  I didn't want to trade it in, even though they offered me a fair trade.
I wanted to keep it, and buy the new car, and have them BOTH.
Which ultimately meant that I needed to put money down, and even then, I would have a bigger car payment than I wanted.
Especially when I am accustomed to NO car payment.
I anguished over it, thought it through 16 times or more, and decided that it was a case of "I want" and not a case of "I need".
Crap.  I hate it when I make so much sense.  It is really no fun at all.

Maybe I'll just stretch and forget about it.

Back to weaving...........I am having some withdrawal symtoms.  I.need.to.weave.

I would love to have that squirrel photo framed and hanging on my wall. Love it!

... Ummm... I'm thinking.. .you've worked so very hard your entire life. If you can afford both cars comfortably, why not treat yourself to that car. Even if just for a year full of joy rides. Then sell it if it's really annoying to own both cars. Or sell the other, which ever seems right. There's nothing wrong with stepping out of the "practical" box if it's within your means. just sayin :-)

I haven't woven anything in a couple of years, on a charity crocheting jag right now, but that doesn't stop me from visiting and ogling your weaving projects! (and your students') Maybe I should weave a blanket rather than crocheting one!!

I like your blog so much, I've nominated you for The Versatile Blogger Award!

I think you would very much miss the Santa Fe and having the convenience of hauling things. I know that my SUV is a gas hog, but it's sure great having the option of being able to buy something large and get it home.

LOVE that squirrel photo, Hilary!!! A VW bug sounds like so much fun--I had a couple way back in the day...agreeing totally with Karen about having both! Sometimes the "I Want" is just what you need!

Hilary your Grandaughter looked delighted that you were at her school function, you are making great memories for her. A VW is fun, but you did the right thing and thought it through to the right conclusion for your situation. Never knew squirrels were fruit eaters, cute pic.

Welcome to my world.
