Crazy as a Loom

Keeping it simple.

I should have started the stair runner today, but I had other things on my mind.
Those tee shirts were calling to me.

From studio

I only wove one rug, but I just had to see what one would look like.

Then I moved on to the Weaver's Friend, that has been sitting (gasp) naked, for a while now. But since I just got the back beam retrofitted so I could attach my tension box to it, I was anxious to get warp on it.
From studio

I am going to be weaving some 3'x5' rugs in earth tones. Unless, of course, I get a little crazy, and who knows. It could happen. And I could weave something totally NOT earthy on that warp. Therein lies the FUN.

From studio

It just rained here in the northeast, and I think tonight will be a night to sleep with the window open.
Sometimes the simplest pleasures are the best of all.

We were supposed to drop down into the 80's for our daytime highs this week, but the 90's still seem to be beating us up.

Love the rug, Hilary. Hope you had a good day... I did!

I have some t-shirts too, it is encouraging to see how pretty they are. Did you sew strips together or did you cut big loopers?

I so agree! An open window to sleep during a summer storm is the best!

I love, love, love the color of the rug at the top!

Oh those colours are wonderful. Brilliant summer shades. And the colours in the last image make me think of early spring.

Welcome to my world.
