I'm first a quilter, being more confident in that than other needlearts...I've been quilting for 35 years. Anyway, I recently found a line of fabric that reminds me of the greens and tans/golds of the grasses along the roadsides of the Adirondak's and New England. I also bought the purple/blues that remind me of the chickory plants, and the creams of the Queens Anne's lace, yellows of the dandelions and reds/oranges/pinks of the other bits of wildflowers that I see growing along the roadsides/on the mountains. I have a quilt pattern in my head that I want to make, and I am hoping that it will turn out as well as I hope. It will always be a reminder for me of the beautiful scenery of the NE US. I'd like to start it this winter, and be able to use it next summer. It will be a cool quilt, not the heavy colors for a winter quilt.
Have a great week, Hilary!

Welcome to my world.
