Some don't like it hot.

It was hot again today in the northeast.

Help, I've fallen and I can't get up.
Not really.
She can get up, even though she does resemble a beached whale.

And for those of you who are thinking I should put her on a diet.......my four indoor cats get one cottage cheese container of food a day.  It is empty in the morning.  And the rest of them aren't starving, so I don't know why she is so fat.
For one thing, she has SHORT legs, which make her look fatter when she's standing up.
But of course, you can't blame her short legs when she is flat on her back.

Sydney says: "Excuse me,  I am just fluffy."

It was so humid today, that all the cats were doing some serious LOUNGING.

Kizzy says:  "Turn on the AC, will ya?"

Miss Puss, always the drama queen:  "I don't think I can take it."

Jinksie says with a huge sigh: "O.M.G., no AC? Seriously?

And just in case you think that I am taking lots of breaks to catch all these poses, let me enlighten you.
L took them, like the paparazzi, stalking these poor prostrate kitties all over the house.

When I wasn't off gallivanting and having lunch with an old friend, I was in the upstairs hallway, weaving away with two fans.
Cause I don't like it hot.
C'mon September, and October, too.

Syd and my Annie seem to have the same metabolism. She has gained 3 lbs. since I had her spayed. The rest of the crew including the kitten, Audrey are all slim. I dunno!
Fun photos today. Stop by Hilary for my give-away if you like tea. Deb

Some of us just never grew into our weight. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! LoL
I'm waiting for Sept and Oct too, but I don't wish the present away.

OMG, my tabby looks just like your Sydney, round belly and all. They eat so little but look so plump. When I first adopted Frisky, she came with the name, the vet told me that tabbys have a tendency to gain weight. So I went from letting them eat whenever they felt like it to feeding less that 1/4 cup 2x days. Frisky freaked out about her feeding schedule and ever since then, seven years ago, she's been obsessed with food. That vet should have kept her mouth shut and Frisky probably would be her svelte self. It's hot here in the mid-west too and my two cats lay prostrate pretty much all day. So funny.

Poor Sid, totally misunderstood, she is fluffy! You should meet Reena's Kramer... he's fluffy too, ahem, and if he and Sid were to pose side by side you'd need a wide angle lens ... LOVE L for stalking, er, snapping these!

Oh Sydney, that face!!! I have a "fluffy" one too...and all the other kitties are normal. And I'm with you...while I hate to rush away the summer, this one is just TOO HOT. Fans in every room. AC in the bedroom. phew. Buggy outside. Where is a nice rainy day when you need one! Love the pictures as well as the narrative!

That first picture: it could win a contest. I don't know of what, but it's a winner. I loved these pictures, so thank L for me. And your loom pictures, as usual, are simply stunning.

Hope you cool down soon, and if you ever visit us in south Louisiana, make sure you come in winter.

Welcome to my world.
