Bits of normal

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about 'normal'.  I guess wanting my life to be like it used to be, before the headache, has inspired that train of thought.
So I found myself mulling over things that felt good in my regular, maybe somewhat boring, life.
Things I love.

Having lunch with a good friend, while dropping off rugs to a customer, in this case,  the Vermont Country Store.

Wondering if Sydney was smart enough to realize that if she laid her fat self on the room temp probe to the pellet stove, that the heat would go off, and the room would get cold.

See it??? Right under her head.

Late afternoon sun..........the golden glow.

Twinkling white lights.

Stones, in any formation.

Walking along the river.

Looms, lots of looms.

Pups, best friends.

And my family, of course.

Today is my mother's 87th birthday.
My mother, sometimes 87, sometimes 7, sometimes in between.

I guess right now, I am trying to make sense of it all.
I'm already in the mood to drink to 2012.
How about you?

Meh.... one year is the same as the next in my world. But I'll drink to 2012 anyway. Oh, and I hate it when the house gets cold... sun is dropping in the sky and I think I need to turn the fireplace on. Want to join me, Sydney??

I've been to Vermont twice and loved it. Your post seems much more up-lifting today. Enjoy all those blessings and here's to 2012.

What is it about cats and heat? I have a wall heater(typical California heating system). One of my cats (Sydney's thin twin), has been parking his butt right up under it. I'm afraid someday he's going to flick his tail up into the business end of the thing and it'll light up like a candle. I've been thinking of putting a little screen at the bottom. Sort of a "tail guard."

I'll drink to 2012 with you. It's got to be better than 2011.
