Crazy as a Loom

Na na na na na na

It's finally here.  Election day.
I did my good deed, taking my mother to vote along with me.
I voted.  Now I'm crossing my fingers.

I want to hide somewhere until the results are known.
I actually debated going to the MOVIES.
That's how much I do not want to get sucked into the fervor that I know will describe the TV coverage of the election, tonight.

Sydney says:
What election?

Is there food?

Today was cold, but the sun was lovely.  L went out to do whatever it is she does in the barn.
When I looked outside, this is what I saw.

OMG, where is my camera.

Seriously, who could resist taking pictures?
She's sunbathing, with her shades on, with NEXT, one of the cats she doesn't like.

Next thinks it's his lucky day.

Finally, he lays down and decides to just enjoy it.

She can't complain.  She knows I couldn't resist this.

Sorry C, you shoulda run when you saw me in paparazzi mode.

O is speechless.

I have realized, perhaps, that I am pushing myself a bit.  I am 9 weeks post op, today.
I still can't do as much as I would like.
I think some days that I try.

So back to quitting a little early, maybe resting on the couch with Roy after his walk.
I am not yet ready to weave more than one rug at a time.

The looms will be there, when I am ready.

Unfortunately, I think these three rugs in a row contributed to the severity of my headache of late.
So it is time to back up a couple of steps.

They are pretty though, right?

 Prettier than politics, I'm sayin'.

I hate the wait!!!!....

You know, dear one... the bending over and working of a loom can cause muscle tension headaches.

- just sayin.

Love the cardboard box. Very clever C :-). I just lay in the gravel..and wish I had a box...or I should say wish I was smart enough to go get a box.

I'm not turning the tv or radio on. I'm sure it's not going to be "over" tonight and I'm worried too - about that and the outcome :-/.

The photos of L and Next are a hoot. Love that. The rugs are lovely but not worth feeling poorly over.

As you know, the house hunting continues. I can't help but look at each kitchen and/or hallway and think about which of your rugs would look great there. ;)

The rugs are indeed beautiful. So, sunbathing with all of her clothes on? Looks like something I would do.

Yes, they are pretty, and prettier than politics. But the position of your neck for an extended period of time probably isn't good for you right now. Hey, live and learn. I think you're doing swell, really.
I love the pictures of L with Next. They really made me smile. I knew exactly what she was doing because I do the same thing. The sun on your skin just makes you feel better. Add soft fur to the mix and these are the simple things of life and are to be cherished.

That series of pictures makes me want to relax, just lie down in the sunshine with a furry kitty next to me. So glad to see your constant posts, and the lovely tone behind them, of your resting and not getting caught up in the hullaballoo of too much too soon... :-)

Much prettier than politics, and i don't blame either of them for lying out in that beautiful sunshine.

You were not allowed to weave AT ALL for 6 weeks. And now you can do a whole rug. Give yourself some slack, woman!

You had better do something about that cat hater, L, however, word might get around the neighbourhood.

Lovely post, lovely rugs. Take care of yourself, Hilary. The looms will wait for you. Love the pics of L and Next. And yes, it's all much better than politics.

MUCH prettier than politics .. me, I went to bed at 10 and before that once the nightly news was over I insisted we avoid any TV that would make me itch ..stress makes me itch .. its not pleasant ... so to bed i went to sleep perchance to dream .. actually I did ... and when I woke, i fed the cats and turned on the TV .. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE those pix of L and that cat she doesn't like .. clearly the feeling is mutual

Anything would be prettier than politics, even though we must vote because that is our right. I love the rugs. Also think that just maybe L is telling a big fib about not loving cats. Glad you figured out why you had the headache. Take it easy, you have the rest of your life to do what you want.

Welcome to my world.
