Kitty love.

All church and mother related commitments filled.
Weekend almost over.
Whew.

I can't say that I got anything else done, but that's ok.
It's just the way it is.

I went to the studio for a little while this afternoon, more to make sure everything was ok, than anything else.
After giving love to the four needy cats INSIDE, I took my cuppa tea out on the porch.
I don't know why I find this cat to be particularly sweet, but I do.
And anyone who says all cats are the same, well, that's just dumb.

He is always happy to see me.

For awhile, he took a rest by the bottom of my chair.

But he is always ready for some love.

Thank goodness for my Iphone.  I could never have done this with my camera.

I think he was trying to hold my hand.

Easy with the claws there, buddy.

This is going to be a busy week.
Weaving weekend coming up.

There is always a lot to do to get ready.

Which poses the question, why am I wasting time playing with Nexxie??

Well, I should think the answer would be quite obvious.

It isn't monkey love.

It's kitty love.

I am wasting time, because I can.
And because he is so obviously enjoying it.

Silly boy.

Well, OK, I am enjoying it too.

But honestly, could you refuse this guy?

He is a love bunny.

He's a boob.

I have never been adopted quite so thoroughly.

I often think that cats have a better perspective than any of us do.

 Here's a perspective.........whiskers and feet.

Oh, sorry.

Ah, tomorrow is Monday, and there will be plenty of time to get all the things on my list done.

There won't be so  much time for these shenanigans.

So I've been to church twice in two days.

And yet somehow.........

spending time with a cat that USED to be a stray, is more meaningful to me.

Guess I'm a pretty hopeless case.
What do you think, Next???

Time spent with cats is never wasted...especially one that obviously adores you to bits! Simple pleasures seem to do the best for my soul...

Love what Kelley said, totally agree! Cute sandals, by the by.

I have a kitty bracelet, lots of squares with kitties but one square says, "Do our cats name us?"

I think Nexxie calls you LOVE!

My Burt does the same thing, pulls my hand in with just a hint of pointy bits and then washes my hand furiously for as long as I'll hold still. It's the best feeling, being totally accepted by such an independent creature.

I'm working with one hand, because there is a cat sitting on the other. we love cats and I love your stories. Thank you. Greetings Hanny.

Animals repay us daily with the amount of love we give them. Clearly lots of love is on the menu at your house!

I wish you would make your out side cat a in side cat. I don't want to read some day some thing has happened to him, some thing to think about.

i think he loves you ... rose likes to lick/chew my fingers and she also recently has begun to 'hold' my hand or arm when lying on me which she does as often as she can .. I may sit here a while and just look at you and Nexxie being happy together .. nothing warms my heart more than a rescued now in a 'forever home' kitty

This was not wasted time - for either of you. How can time spent between two who love each other be considered wasted! But, as I warned the other day, if he becomes an indoor cat there is a very good chance you will not be able to get any work done! T

She is a true love. I know what you're saying about how meaningful time spent with those furry sweeties is. What better way to show appreciation for life?

You've probably mentioned it before but this is the first time I've really noticed his ear. It reminds me of a cat I had when I was a kid. She was in the field when my grandfather was mowing the hay and part of her ear got clipped off.

I agree with Kelley, time spent with cats (or dogs) is never wasted.

He's shameless, that guy. I think he has fallen head over tea-kettle for you. You are both lucky to have found each other. Don't show this to Syd.
