Summer day.

Every now and again, I do something that makes my back go into spasm. I wish I knew what it was, but usually it is something unidentifiable, but very real. I usually list sharply to the right.
I am quick to call my favorite chiropractor, who straightens me up.
I went yesterday, and then again at 8am this morning.
When I left there, I decided to take the back way to the studio. It was a lovely morning to ride through the country.
When I did, I happened upon a really good garage sale.
I spotted this little cupboard right away.

$5.00

I love old cupboards!
I also bought these two metal candle holders, for the garden, or the porch. They are old, and heavy. I liked them.

I also bought some clothes, some with the price tags still on them. Some are in the wash, and a couple have to go to the dry cleaners. I love shopping at garage sales. My husband says I'm a fashion plate. Do you think he is serious? Not a chance.
In between getting myself organized in the studio, I threw this together for lunch, which I ate on my brand new porch.

Some whole wheat pasta, and some things I found in the fridge.........cherry tomatoes (cut in half), half an onion, some red pepper ( these all sauteed in evo) some feta cheese, and some pesto.
Nothing my DH would eat on a bet, which is why I made it at the studio.
And the porch is my new favorite place to eat lunch.
Stop on over.....I'll whip you up something!

Ahhhhh, I would love to join you: sit on the porch, talk about weaving and inspiration, sip some tea and leave my cares at home.

In the mean time, take care of your back and keep on weaving the great projects you keep showing us, so we can dream on.... until later.

I don't know if you are a fashion plate, but I do know that the pasta on that plate looks GREAT! We went out for pizza. *tiny burb* excuse please.

Oh, and my chiropractor years ago gave me a set of stretches to keep my back and tummy a bit stronger to keep the back from doing just what you described yours as doing. Back pain just ruins the day.

On my way!!

You should check out books by Dr. John Sarno for your back!! Amazing, inexpensive (basically free except for the book) and effective.

That picture makes me hungry! Here we are having an evening that makes me wish for a porch. I'm just a light shade of green..

I have a great chiroprator that keeps my whole body in check... Nothing like a good adjustment to make one feel better.. I have found if my back goes out, especially my lower back it's because of stress. Lately I have had a lot of that..
I love the cupboard that you found at the garage sale.. Sometimes when I find a good buy I just think it's because I was suppose to stop that day. Some garage sales are so cool, and I find just what I was needing.
Wish I was close to you,, I would stop just to be lifted up and sit on your porch and visit. I'm sure you would make me laugh..Love your blog~!

That sounds like us. I eat those kind of meals for lunch because Ian hates anything like that. He needs a big hunk of meat!

Great garage sale catches - lucky!

Welcome to my world.
