Back to normal, whatever that is.

From Crazy as a Loom

Hi, I'm Sydney. What's your name????
Doesn't she look like she could talk???
I know, I am losing my mind.

Did I tell you that there's a list of people who have told me if I ever wanted to give her away...........Ack!!!
Imagine. Giving Sydney Sue away.
The Walmart greeter.
I have never met a cat as lovable as this one.
All day, every day, she campaigns for attention. There's no other word.
From Crazy as a Loom

And she gets it.
She purrs immediately on seeing a two legged person in her world. She hasn't held a grudge against whoever dropped her off, leaving her hungry, pregnant, and alone. She just moved on, and figured that someone had to love her.
And they do.
Everybody does.
Which goes to prove what I suspect: that if you ask for something, if you expect it with a certainty, it often comes to you.
This has been quite the week. DH did not come home the next day, but instead was quite sick. I can't complain about 12-14 hours a day in the hospital, because he did more time than that, and he felt a whole lot worse than I did.
Thank goodness, he is home now, came home today. I am happy. Eddie, the pit bull, is thrilled. And I think DH is pretty content to be here, as well.
Maybe tomorrow, I can get to work.
When I bought the studio, there was an old hydrangea bush by the front door. It was pretty straggly looking, and for the last five years, it has struggled.
This year, it is coming into its own.

It is one of my favorite plants. I love the blooms when they are white.

I really love them when they are still a lovely pale green.

But my most favorite of all, is when they turn a soft pink in the fall. You'll have to wait for those pictures.
Why is it that sitting in a hospital makes you feel like you have been working in the mines??? I think I could sleep for a week.

Hospitals not only have uncomfortable beds for the sick and ailing, they also have stiff, hard chairs for the family members there waiting and seeing to their loved ones. You'd think with all the money they make they could at least offer us a La-Z-Boy recliner!!

Glad DH is home and that life IS getting back to your normal.

I am so glad he is home! And here is to a speedy recovery...

AND, if you ever want to have those white flowers be pink or blue, just pick up some used coffee grounds from the coffee shop (they often give it away for people who garden and compost) and dig it in around the roots. If you make the soil acidic it will turn the color!

Glad your DH is home and doing better. It sure puts a fear into you when things like that happen.

I think Sydney is such a loving cat because she appreciates having a wonderful home and someone who cares about her.

I am glad to hear your husband got to go home!

My husband spent four days with me at the hospital last week. I don't know how he did it! The chair bed they provided looked awful and with the nurses coming in all hours of the night he couldn't have gotten much sleep.

Great news the family is all together again. Glad your DH is home to finish recuperation. Give Eddie a good pat from me, he waited too for his peeps to get all home.:) The hydrangea, looks lovely. Such a beautiful old fashioned shrub, one of my favorites.

I glad your Hubby is doing better. The kitty looks very content and loved, her sweetness come through in the pics. The hydrangea is beautiful, when we lived in NJ we had ton of those in the front yard, they are my fondest memories of childhood. I can't grow them here in Florida, but once we move north again I plan on having them all over the garden.

Glad you dh is home and on the mend. What a scary episode in this chapter of your lives.

Just watched Calendar Girls (the movie) on tv the other night. Forgot that uncomfortable hospital furniture is what prompted the whole Calendar fund raising idea.

Love the hydrangea. I have no luck with them.

Syndney Sue looks so like our best kitty- he died unexpectedly and broke our hearts...tabby wisdom, they are the best!
Glad all is well with your husband- MEN! They just never go to the doctor or hospital ...why is that?

So glad he is home and resting well.... and your hydrangea is just gorgeous! My friend gave me some to transplant a few years ago, and they are taking off this year like gangbusters.

Hope your world returns to normal soon and you can get back to the things you do best....

Karen

Welcome to my world.
