Fifty?

Yesterday was the only sunny day all week.  You remember, the day when L went kayaking without me.
Oh, OK, I admit, it was probably too soon for me to go, anyway.

Well, Roy and I went for a long walk.  He didn't miss the kayaking one bit.

I have taken a picture at this very same spot before....I can never resist it.

It is such a privilege to take Roy for a walk, all by myself.  For the first three weeks or so after surgery, I couldn't, and didn't want to, go alone.

I am really getting better every single day.

Tonight, I cooked up the bunch of tomatoes I had on the counter, and threw some mushrooms and onions in with them.

I usually cook concoctions like this for myself, since I don't eat meat, and everyone else here does.

I finished my little sweater.   It was wicked easy, and it turned out great.
Do you like it??

Check out the bear buttons.
I apparently can't put prospective baby shower gifts on my blog, as certain people peruse it daily, hoping for clues.
So this will have to do for now.
I think Baby Henry will look smashing in it though, don't you?

Now tonight after dinner, I took my mother to the grocery store.  I really didn't need anything, so I checked out the magazine aisle.

Honestly, I couldn't believe my eyes.
Seriously?????  In the supermarket even??
Wow.

That adorable sweater makes me long for grandchildren.. sigh. So adorable.

Glad to hear you are getting better!
Cute little sweater. I don't have any little kids to put one on but would love it for one of my bears!

This sweater is so cute.. It would be a great sweater to make for babies to go home from the hospital. I make hats for babies at our local hospital to wear home.. It's a great needed project and the hospital is so grateful when knitters make these hats for these little babies.
Glad you got to go on a walk..It takes a long time until one can get out by themselves after surgery..
ta ta for now from Iowa:)

The bear buttons are just perfect, as is the sweater. Are you seeing how productive you are (Socketbooks, mittens and now a sweater!) I refuse to watch any "sitcoms" because of the crude trash on them; I'm not surprised by the magazine at the supermarker:-(

Hilary, you sound better every entry you make. Keep going girl!
Your dish looks delicious also, I do eat meat but it looks really good, I might have to try it :)

The sweater is adorable! The photos beautiful (esp the one with the golden leaves). I dislike mushrooms, but otherwise the dish looks yummy....
SO glad you are walking Roy by yourself, and you ARE getting better day by day.
Hugs,
Martha

Beautiful fall photos. I'm so happy you're up and walking around.

I love the sweater. Sometimes I wish I had a little one to make one for but then I'm just as happy they are either grown or almost grown.

Fify Shades. Am I the only one who didn't read those books? I've been told there is a good story but don't know what it is until the end of the third book. Guess I just pass these up.

Glad to hear your getting better and better. You're certainly doing more and more. I hope your headaches are gone! What a beautiful place to walk. You're so lucky! I can't imagine ever wanting to go inside with those kinds of views. Mmmm...yummy looking dinner! And, that little sweater is so cute! I love the colors and little stripes. Have a wonderful week! :-)

Love that little sweater, the buttons are so sweet.
I can see why you took your camera on your walk, those pictures are pretty enough to frame.
Continue to improve sweet lady.
