You may remember the china cabinet I bought second hand. I needed a place for dishes, and a place for crock pots and such in the bottom.
The piece is pretty, but dark.
I have wanted to change it since day one.
So finally, I did.
And I love it. It's Annie Sloan chalk paint.
In our new, improved studio, where we do what we want, when we want, Lois has started a new project.
Rep weave.
I helped her get the warp on, but this is her baby.
I think she is doing great, don't you?
I see more Rep Weave coming.
Me?? I'm happily stuck on clamshells. These are shaded.
I am having FUN, and honestly, what else matters?

Ooo- love the cabinet. It looks beautiful in it's new paint. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I have with mine. Deb
Looks nice! I have a piece that I've thought about painting but never seem to take the step forward and do it. Maybe this will motivate me to at least choose a color and then think about it some more.
The cabinet looks wonderful!! I just started using chalk paint with wax on wooden boxes and love, love, love the look. The clam shells are so pretty...
I love the cabinet in it's new paint - and your clam shells in that color combo? Gorgeous.
looks great .. my mom had a similar one ...
Love it, both ways actually!
Please, where did you get the clamshells pattern? Is it more than 8 harnesses?

I bought an old hutch too! For the exact same reasons... and mine is darker than I probably would like too. But, I did not think of chalk paint! Thank you, Hilary- such a great idea!
