I was sure you would want an update.
After a day or two of weighing all the information, this little one has her forever home.
Angie, my seamstress extraordinaire, just happened to be wanting a kitten.
So now, Bella, has the best possible scenario. She is the only animal in the house, with a Mom, and a Dad, and two kids to spoil her rotten.
Here she is lounging on some socks Angie was working into a Socketbook.
What is it with cats and socks??
L and I have been doing photo shoots this week......Prime Mate monkeys, and Socketbooks.
Then last night, I spent hours putting them on my web site.
So now there are lots to choose from.
Which is good, because my Christmas giveaway, is a monkey, or a Socketbook, your choice.
All you have to do to win, is be a follower, and comment.
If you would, I would like to hear what ideas you have for Crazy as a Loom for 2013. What would you like to see going on? What would you like to hear about?
Besides my headache.
Ha! That was with tongue in cheek.
First of all, my headache is so dull I could almost get used to it.
Secondly, my troubles pale. You know what I mean.
I can hardly complain.
Today I finished my towel warp....the crazy red and black.
I'll post some towel pictures tomorrow. The last of them are in the washer as we speak.
My next towel warp is being put on sectionally. So I needed to find enough spools to do that.
Unfortunately, most of them still had thread on them.
What to do, what to do.
I didn't want to waste all that thread, so I decided to pull my spool rack up to the warping board.
They are safely stored in plastic bags.
Here is my next warp, I am putting 25 yards on, for dishtowels.
What do you think?
Is it bright enough?
Winner of the giveaway will be drawn randomly on Monday night 12/17/12. This way it will ship on Tuesday and get to the winner in time for Christmas.
Make sure you give me a way to contact you.

Oh HIlary, I want whatever you are giving away! Yes! And I only want to hear about how your headaches are tied to the weather and that it is BLUE SKIES from here on in :-)
I am enamored with anything you do with weaving. Your coming up dishtowels are going to be wonderful!
"YAH!" for kitty. So, so sweet.
You sound like you're picking up speed again. It won't be long and we'll be trying to keep up with you again. Love all your weaving and your monkeys. Please throw my name in that tea-cup that's lying around somewhere in that studio. Hugs
So nice of you to have a give away! Also good to hear that the headache is a dull roar....I've been following your journey and sending quiet but good thoughts and prayers your way. Continue to heal and be creative in the new year.
HaPpY HoLiDaYs! Lee
Love that teensy kitty has a forever home. I'd love to have anything that you ever give away!
Do you already have Kindle socks or Nook socks? Do they have a button to close them in? Everyone would want a Kindle sock, I know I do!

At this present time I can't seem to send out any email. I have an older MAC and need to change the operating system from Safari to what ever.. So I will send my comment this way. I am a weaver from Missouri a small town on the Missouri River. Pre civil war. I weave towels and scarves and shawls. I started weaving in 1977 after I had a ceribal hemo. help me to get my motor skills back, then in 81 got sidetracked and started up again 3 years ago. I found you one day while searching the web.. I read you every day and think you are just the bees knees, love the work you do. My email address is : eichenh@yahoo.com. Am very interested in your sock monkeys, have a grand son born on Jan 1, 2012, think he would like all the colors. God Bless.
I love reading the continuing story of animals, weaving and overcoming the Headache. I love the new colors for towels. As "mom" to an aging cat, the kitten looks so sweet. I will just continue to let my "old lady" can get away with anything she wants to do.
Love reading your blog. You are more productive than me even with a headache. I hope next year brings complete recovery from your headache and as much weaving as you want. Yes I would love one of your monkeys.

Hilary...Your website is looking great. I hadn't seen it since you "remodeled," and really like the fresh new look!

The kitten reminds me of the one we adopted in June. We had Persians before, and they were so mild and timid and didn't get into anything. This one, oh boy. I wouldn't trade her for anything though. She makes me laugh every day, and I don't think you can get better than that.
I'm really looking forward to the towels from the bright cones. I'll bet they're going to be fantastic!
Please don't include me in the drawing. I won mug rugs from you earlier in the year, and they get daily use.
I would love to win a monkey and it wouldn't be for George.
In 2013, I would like to see you take more time for yourself but I still love hearing all the goings on in your shop.
As always I love to hear about the looms, kitties and all of your adventures! Sweet little kitty! Glad she found a forever home. I love the monkeys and wouldn't mind having one in the studio reminding me to smile.
Louise
Hillary, I am so glad you are feeling better. I really enjoy your creativity with color. For 2013, 1st, I want you to feel great(!) and 2nd, if you feel really great, I would love you to offer your weaving weekends. It's on my bucket list. :)
Thanks for the give away - I continue to keep you in my prayers.
It's totally bright enough to add cheer to any kitchen. Love it!
Weaving adventures and Wellness (yours, of course)
Those colors in the last picture remind me of Rainbow Sherbet, and now I want some!
What I would like to see happening in 2013...the headache gone forever. More pictures of your smiling face, more of those beautiful grand children of yours, and then what ever floats your boat. You have never steered us wrong, I love to see and read what ever is going on with you that you wish to share.
Oh yeah! That kitten is so sweet. I am happy for her that she got a fantstic family!
Hi Hilary
The towels are definitely not too bright - I have exactly the same combination on my loom at the moment for Christmas gifts - 2 down, 10 to go.
Mine are turning out well, hope yours are a success too
May 2013 be a great year for you
HelenR
I like reading all the stuff you post about. I wouldn't say no to more photos of Roy! I'm a fan. :)
Where do i start. Glad you HH are better and hope you have a great2013. I love your blog and because we are at the same stage of life, love reading about yours, but most of all I love weaving. It has saved my sanity.. started in 2007 when I gave up a job I loved because my parkinson disease no longer allowed me to do my job... but I can weave!! Please post more weaving photos and hints and maybe a towel pattern or two. I love playing with color in the warp. Just received the sock pockets i ordered , they are great, even nicer than i imagined,, wish I could keep them for myself..lol.Please enter me in the drawing.. debray13@yahoo.com
Hilary, I love the colours you have ready to go on the loom. I read your blog each post and I'm so hoping that you are recovering from your ordeal as the Dr's advise.
We are beginning summer here. I envy you your coolness but not your freezing weather. Also, how are the people getting on after the storm, Sandy. We hear nothing here and very little on the internet! Take care..xo
I read all of your blog posts, but seldom ever comment...but I keep you in my prayers that your headaches will diminish with time. Love all that you write about and so glad the tiny kitty found a good home.
Your weaving is incredible, so happy you are feeling well enough to continue.
Hi Hilary, well I just love reading your blog, your photos are so warm and inspiring, I am glad that you got that headache (sorta) sorted, and that things are improving after your surgery. I would read anyting you write, I love the Way you write, so it is all godd to me, I particularly enjoy the studio and the looms and weaving, the colours. I also love the lakes and kayaks and houses and barns that you snap along the way.
I have a blog, it's at http://barazile.blogspot.ie/, although I wonder if I am one of the ones that cannot be contacted as you say here:
'Unfortunately, sometimes it just comes up noreply-comment@blogger.com'
Best wishes to you and yours for Christmas,
regards
liz
ps don't worry about the foreign sounding title of the the blog, it is in English mostly.
I can't wait til I see your progress on your Towels....
I am so inspired by your work and your journey back to health. I am a quilt maker just starting to work again after some health challenges, so I appreciate what you are going through. Best wishes to you!
Your work is beautiful. I love your bright colors, originality and concern for the environment.
I hear a new energy in your voice, and optimism and a whole headful of schemes ... instead of just a head full of pain ... so wonderful that each baby step of improvement is leading to a life that you can truly enjoy! Bella the kitten is precious. So glad that she has such a wonderful forever home.
So glad that kitten found a home, love the bright towels, glad your head ache is giving you so relief. Keep doing what you are doing, just love your blog! I love hearing about Roy,Grandkids, and your Mother. You bring a lot of smiles to a lot of people, Hugs, Diane
Awww I'm so glad to hear about that sweet little kitty. The colours of those towels-to-be are luscious. You could probably weave a popsicle with them. ;)
I love giveaways but you've so kindly given me plenty so I'll bow out of this one. But NEXT time... :)
Glad that the Kitten has a forever home!
I would so love to win one of the prime-mates - I love sock monkeys.
All I hope for you for the new year is that your health continues to improve and I think that you can handle the rest!
Kate
Oh my... little Bella is a sweetie pie! So happy she found a forever home! Makes me want to ask Santa for a kitten... lol! Bring on the dish towels! A person can NEVER have enough hand woven dish towels! :-)
Socks, says our kitten Link, are comfortable, and yet untrustworthy. So you can sleep in them one minute, and then play mighty hunter with them the next, because they have to be kept in their place.
At least, i think that's what he's telling us with the way he treats socks.
Your dishtowels will brighten any kitchen.
I found your blog not too long ago. I went back to the early HH days and read to the present. I am amazed what you were able to manage with that kind of pain.
I am a very new weaver and I get so much inspiration from you work.
In 2013 keep doing what you are doing, I love it. If I could ask for anything it might be more education type things. When you buy rolls of fabric, how do you get them into usable weft? How do you choose that fabric? Tips and tricks maybe, like this is how I do it. Whatever you do I will keep reading.
Merry Christmas and I look forward to 2013 with you.
As for Crazy as a Loom 2013.....just continue to embrace and revel in the now!
I so enjoy reading your posts and viewing your latest projects. Your color sense is amazing.
I am so glad the kitty found a home. As for 2013, I hope it continues to find you steadily improving and warping and a weaving....

I love everything about your blog -- your headache (well, not so much), your kitties, Roy, the scenery and, let's not forget, your weaving. More, more, more of all of it!
You are definitely the grand dame of eye candy. Love, love your creativity!
I love those bright colors. I would love a dishtowel.
Hi Hilary, I love reading your blog. I would love to continue to see what you're weaving. Hopefully it will one day inspire me to warp my loom! I love to see your animals. So glad the kitten found a home. Wishing you a very Happy Holiday and great health in the new year. Nancy

I love all things posted on your blog. But one thing I wouldn't mind more of are your recipes.
So glad the Kitty has a home and so glad that your headache is down to a dull roar. Can't wait to hear you say that it's gone. Love the bright colors!
I like to see pictures of the countryside around where you live. I also like to weave vicariously through you, although I am very proud to report that I just finished weaving a scarf with my handspun on my little rigid heddle loom. (The first project I have woven on this loom, and the first project woven with my handspun.) So---more weaving, more walks, and more kitties, please.
Oh Noes! I didn't include my email:
iabrenda0312@aol.com
I enjoy your blog each post...just as it is...love seeing the warps before you add the fill...and the imagination that flows so freely in your work. More photos of your environs would be a delight to see.
Thanks for this giveaway opportunity.
Kristin
I look forward to the email notification that you've posted a new blog entry. Love the colors you have chosen. You're weaving is just beautiful. Love the kitty.
