Here's my new warp, for the Cranbrook, and double binding rugs.
Do you like the colors???
Lois took this picture without my knowing it......I am inside the loom, threading it. I think she may have been getting some perverse pleasure out of me crouched down inside it.
This wasn't actually that bad, what really hurt was tying the treadles up, which required me to crawl under the loom MANY times.
This is where I mutter under my breath about being too old for this crap.
But when I actually sit down to weave, and I throw that first shuttle full of fabric, the pain will be a memory. And I will be smiling.
Not exactly heaven, but close. Very close.
Isn't that where it is, after all, in our heads????

This week's cover story of Time Magazine is "Rethinking Heaven"....
I think you've already done that...and put it right here on earth.
When did it get so hard to get up off the floor? I can't remember when it happened, all I know is it did:-(
So I'm trying to wrap my head around how your sectional warping works. Where exacty are the threads going? Do you use a tension box after whatever that thing is separating the threads? I've always loved your use of multiple colors. These are fabulous.
The colors are rich.
My loom and loom room are on my todo list. I won't go out there unless it is on my list. Once I get back into it, I won't be back in the house!
Glad to hear you will be smiling. That was the title of my post today. The colours you chose are really nice..all of them. Give Roy a hug for me. Deb
I love the colors! Look forward to seeing what you create from them.
Hallelujah!! You're baaack!! Love the colors of the warp.
Remember, take care of yourself---you come first!!
Great colors. I've been working very hard in my workouts to master the art of getting myself off the ground, once down!
WHEEEHEEEE LOVE your colors! Plus you could also do a few of your colorful bubble gum rugs on there in plain weave too if you wanted!

Before I get on the floor, I have to make sure something is nearby sturdy enough to use to haul myself up. Luckily, my loom is simple enough to sit on an ottoman to tie the treadles. Sitting on the floor comes into play when I have to scrub floors. Unfortunately, my kitchen and bathroom flooring is textured, which means dirt gets trapped and mopping just goes so far.
