I finished my first double binding rug........ what do you think??
For all of you weavers who want to try this.....email me, or leave your email address in the comments.
I am going to write up exactly what I did, and I will send it out to anyone who wants it, rather than bore all the non weavers .
Today was a tough day. So this was just a quick photo with my Iphone.
Let's just put today under the category of injections/bad reactions/headaches/days I would just as soon forget.
So I don't have much to offer tonight.
Except that I am counting on tomorrow being so much better.
And right NOW, I am OK.

Hi Hilary..
Please add me to the list! Love the look and I feel inspired to try a rug.
But after all my texsolv cord on my 20+ are replaced.... :(
I've worn them out and looking at $400 to get new ones...
Always something huh?
Susan
Hi Hilary, please add me to the list. I want to know how you do the rug, it's way cool! romoniad@yahoo.com
Love the rug. It looks very sturdy. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good one! You deserve some easy days.
LOVE THE RUG ESPECIALLY THE COLORS. Praying that you are better and headache free. Blessings Mary
Love the rug and I never miss your blog. I hope you can get that headache under control.
And I would love to have the directions. ajteach718@msn.com

I want to know. I'm just starting rugs and need all the ideas I can get. jmzelle(at)gmail.com
Sorry to hear you had a bad one. I hope you have a restorative sleep. The rug is beautiful! I am really drawn to the deep rich color...lovely! candace
Such gorgeous colors, Hilary. The rug turned out really well. I have a Swedish loom, too, and once you get the hang of it, those treadles aren't too difficult to tie up. Let me back up and say, the "idea" isn't difficult, but getting under that loom, particularly for a 69-year-old.... well, that's what hopefully keeps me young!

I love the rug! I don't currently make rugs but who knows, maybe someday, so include me in the list of those wanting to know.
HH needs to go away already! It's just not getting the hint fast enough that it's not welcome there. Keeping you in my thoughts Hilary.
I love all your rugs, but this is sooo special and beautiful!
Please add me to your list: wollfrau-silvia@gmx.de

Hi Hilary, I love the new rug, please include me.

Wow, love the rug and the colors you chose- but always like the colors you choose!
And I feel guilty adding any more work to you right now while you are battling HH (with courage and dignity), but I would love the instructions-

Thank you!

This is awesome, Hilary.
Now please.. please. For me. Make an appointment with a massage therapist (I actually go to a physical therapist who works the muscles in my neck/shoulders/back) and an acupunturist. Try this combo for just a few weeks. Each twice a week, however it fits into your schedule. This is what finally broke the awful cycle of my headache. Really.
PS... a good acupunturist DOES NOT HURT. NOTHING. Nada. This is not deep insertions of needles.
Hilary, I too would like the instructions - grenellstudios@gmail.com
I have done something similar to this but would like to know how you did yours.
I am so sorry about the headache. If there has been no improvement by now with the injections then I am with Karen I think you should try acupuncture. It is painless and it helped me with my hot flashes! I think it could help with your HA.
Louise
right now is the most important time .. gentle hugs
So sorry you are having such a difficult time with the headaches. I've been reading your blog and sincerely wish you well.....your work is fantastic.
I would love your info about this rug. Thanks for sharing...

Hilary, I am jumping on the list! I would love to hear all about how you wove that wonderful rug!
Absolutely beautiful! I don't weave, I quilt and knit and do counted cross stitch - so I understand the work and love involved in working with fiber! Hoping the HA gets better really soon - I love reading your blog - thank you so much!

Beautiful colors. I love this rug. Hang in there.
I'd like your info on double binding, too. Is it like doubleweave?
Hope those injections work to relieve your pain SOON!!
