Today I took a ride over to my friend's house....to help her with the loom I gave her.
She had it half threaded, so we finished it, and she started her rug with the wool from her own sheep.
She is very excited.
What I feel is second nature, is not so easy if you haven't done it before. She'll get it, with a lot of practice.
When we were done, we had lunch. I had requested tuna sandwiches, to which she laughed at.
"Not very extravagant."
Yup, that's me.
Not extravagant at all.
We also had homemade potato leek soup. So good.
I love her house, it is so sunny and open.
She has four cats, and they are very abused and unhappy.
Imagine that.
It was a quiet day, and I tried to keep it that way. A walk with Roy, dinner at home, some reading.
One day at a time.
Grateful for what is, trying to be strong about what isn't.
With all its troubles, it is still a good life.
Amen.

I love the sun streaming through a home. It looks gorgeous.I'm glad you had a calm, quiet day today. Take those whenever you can. As far as that cat I'd be right on the phone to the SPCA cruelty line. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4
You had me laughing out loud at the 'abused and unhappy' comment.
Lol...oh yeah...that cats just sooooooooo abused....
That cat looks so much like my Riley. Every house should have one or two of them.
I have potatoes and leeks to make soup. Maybe tomorrow. So many recipes call for bacon and/or cheese. I want a lighter one.
Poor kitties. Just like yours:-)
poor tormented kitty...Amen to a good life. It is what you make of it.
never did cotton to that "it is what it is" statement, when "it" can be so many things.
Amen, girl. Amen.
Wood looks so warm when the sun streams in.. as to abused kitties. ;)
Wishing you comfier days.
Oh that poor abused cat .. he looks like a younger version of our Jack, also abused ...
The sun pouring in makes me feel warm just looking at it. Sigh. Lovely.
I love the house too. I think it has a beautiful view outside. The cat is so cute too.
