Time for hats.....scarves, gloves, all of it.
And still my fingers crack, and hurt. I could put lotion on them hourly. It doesn't matter.
Winter. I don't care for it.
I bought myself some Uggs.....treated myself.
They may not be pretty, but oh my, are they warm. Next I am going to order myself some of those insulated slippers to weave with.
There isn't enough hot tea in the world to keep me warm.

I do not like single digits.
Not at all.
Bring me some sun. Lots of sun.

Good thing you're not here! Cold, snow, wind... typical brisk winter weather. I don't like it either.
This is why I am in California still and not off on some gorgeous piece of land that I could afford! I. do. not. like. the. cold. When it gets to 45 degrees here, I freak out.
It's been a cold week here in Tennessee also, and snow forecast for Sunday night, just in time to return to work !
I keep seeing those nice warm boots everywhere, I think I need a pair myself ;)
Tea....it warms the cockles of your heart.
Agreed... I want my summer back! Love the colourful hats.
How about rain, ice then snow and then high winds ending with 7 degrees when it's all over.
I always say if you don't like Iowa today wait until tomorrow.. Winter has just begun. We were spoiled in November when it was 40 degrees.
I bought this stuff call "Infusion shampoo/conditioner dog shampoo"... I take a bath every night with this shampoo.. Oh my goodness my skin is so soft now and NOT dry.. I put this shampoo in all my containers I have next to the sink to wash my hands.. Call me crazy and laugh if you want "It works".. I have such dry skin in the winter time this stuff really works... I bought it at the local grocery store in the pet aisle. $5.98 in Iowa...
Good luck with your cold weather ~! ta ta for now
The Infusion shampoo/conditioner dog shampoo is made by Hartz... Oh one thing..don't wash your hair with this stuff.. it makes it look and feel really greasy..
Deep cold is not fun and there's no escaping it. We've just been blessed with a dose of climate change. It's gray and quite warm - can't be good news. Try to enjoy your temps anyway~
I'm right there with you. And I don't own a pair of uggs, maybe it's time.
Sanibel and Captiva in Florida for shelling is looking pretty good.. we should have a blog village assembly down there, don't ya think?
I've been drinking those flavored coffees for days now trying to stay warm, and my chair here in my office on the second floor is directly next to a heat register. It's just been doggone cold, Hilary. Doggone cold.

I'm right there with you. I don't even like it when it drops below 60
Girl - we've got 10 inches due tonight and 45 mile an hour winds with a high temp of 7. Some serious hunkering going on over here. I try so hard to 'embrace' winter, realizing that unless I move, I shant escape it - I do ok for the most part and look forward to all my projects I want to do - but wouldn't it be nice to take a short ride to the beach and feel a warm breeze!?
the single digit word of the day is three. Three more months till spring. Somehow it makes it just a little easier to brave the wicked cold...if only for a moment!
I know how you feel. I hate to be cold. Mr. B and I have started wearing our winter scarves in the house. My son from LA is wearing his winter scarf, too. We were organizing the garage and my hands and feet hurt from the cold while my son-in-law was wearing a short sleeved tee shirt! I'm drinking Russian Ted and I have a heated cushion in my favorite chair and a down throw. Can we make it to spring? Nancy
