Crazy as a Loom

Crazy busy

I love reading blogs. I enjoy reading about other people’s experiences, I get ideas, and inspiration.

This older pattern appeared on a blog I was reading, so I searched for it, and found it on Etsy.

Then I tried it out, using some fabric from my stash.

This is the finished cloak, wool warp, Hand dyed bamboo weft.

It turned out even better than I expected, and is already boxed up and ready to be shipped to

Georgia on Monday.

I’m kind of sad to see it go.

My friend who was here visiting, has gone south.  Before she left, she bought me this chicken lamp.

I love it.

The big excitement was my new Louet Octado.

Dave from Louet delivered it and put it together.

Now I have to put a warp on it.

This is what I chose.

When we did the show last week, they were giving away posters from the Bromley ski center.

I loved them, so I bought poster frames for them.

I think my grandson will love them.

Well, that’s my chatty post.

Afraid I’m too exhausted for more.

Color me jealous! A new Octado!! Lucky you. Do you have the computer interface or manual dobby? My dream loom is the Octado with the dobby chain. Please, give us all a review of the loom when you can Hilary. They are a speedy piece of equipment and some feedback from a weaver I know is worth it's weight in gold!
Enjoy! Pets to Naya and the kitties

Love the shawl - gorgeous colors and style.. and those posters, perfect for a boys room.

I’m no longer jealous of the dobby. I’ve settled my brain into what I have. Until, of course, it gets unsettled. ;-)

Love the cloak and the posters.

What! Dave from Louet came and put your new loom together, awesome! I have a David loom and love it. Those are great posters, definitely worth framing.

Love the new cloak, great fall colors. The bear poster is fantastic, I would have framed it too. Wow, what a great loom- I know you will enjoy weaving on it.

That top with shawl is beautiful, I don't blame you for not wanting to part with it...you need one for yourself. Lots of industrious forward motion going on at your place, great to see, very inspiring as was your last post too. Have fun Hilary.
