Back to school.

And the winner is........................my mother is shuffling up the papers........

BSPINNER!!!!!!

The mug mats of your choice will be on the way, as soon as I get your address.

I spent all day at the new Adirondack Folk School, in Lake Luzerne, NY.

At the site of the old town hall, renovations are under way. Classes start in June, and the course list is impressive.
You can check it out here.

They are teaching lots of wood working courses, like making rustic furniture.

I am going to be teaching a workshop there every Wednesday in June, and if it fits into my schedule, I will be doing more teaching in the coming year.
So far there are 5 looms.

And they all had to be warped.

Funny how life offers up twists and turns you didn't expect. I had no intention whatever of going anywhere else to teach weaving. Then I had this student, her husband was starting this school, one thing led to another, and here I am.
The school is located right on the Hudson River, and it is beautiful.
There will be painting by the river, gardening, kids crafts, places to picnic, and a path to hike along the water.
From Crazy as a Loom

It is truly a remarkable place, and the community has come together to get it up and running.
If you have time, check it out. Better yet, come take a course.
You'll love the Adirondacks!
But right now, it is off to the hot tub, and then I hear this plaintive voice calling me.....I think it is my bed!
No fooling.
(and thanks Connie, for your help)

What a great thing to get involved in!

The Hudson is beautiful river country, my mother just returned from a tour of some of the famous homes of the 1800's-1900's... museums now.

You live in a fairy tale lovely place. I always appreciate it when you make time to share pictures with us. What lucky students and they don't even know it yet. Lucky you to get to share your knowledge! What ingenuity, hanging a the warping board from coat hooks. Those weavers, honestly.

Welcome to my world.
