Crazy as a Loom

Update, kitty love.

Everybody loves her, everybody cares, but I have yet to find her a home, other than the studio.

Lucy is definitely a house kitty, she doesn't have a wild bone in her body.  She never gets too far from her food and the bed.  It's like she can't believe this is happening, she is safe, and she isn't going to take a chance on losing it.

She stays upstairs, even though she can come down if she likes.   I think she is keeping a low profile.
I don't know where she came from, or what her story is, but she wants  a home, that much is evident.
I think I can already see her putting on some weight.

It isn't that I don't like Lucy.  She's a sweetheart.  But I have 4 cats, and because my Kizzy has to have a special food, they ALL eat the special food, at $49 a bag.
And I don't live there, so they have to get whatever attention they can in the daytime hours.  There's barely enough to go around now.
And Lucy needs some attention.  It wouldn't be fair to her.

There are a couple of noses out of joint.

It was a crazy day at the studio, with students weaving, and lots of traffic in and out.
I did manage to put this warp on, from a box of leftover spools.
I love warps made from lots of crazy colors.

Tomorrow I am going to wind a warp on the Gallinger, starting with these.

Today, when I left the studio, I heard an altogether too familiar sound over my head.
I knew what it was before I looked up.

Isn't it kind of early for them to be booking south?????
I wonder what that portends.
Hmm.

So there is lots to do this week, the list is huge.
I just wish taking Lucy to her new home was one of them.

I don't even want to think what the honkers going south early portends... the weather predictors around here are saying 200 inches of snow this year. TWICE what we got last year~ the winter from he**...

Wish I lived close enough to help with Lucy. She looks like a sweetheart.

Our geese have been mobile for about 3 weeks now. They haven't really settled on moving south, just moving noisily about. It really upset my tom turkey.

I never get tired of the geese. I know the worry about finding the right home for Lucy. There are so many looking for homes right now. I have three beautiful grey kittens that melt your heart but not one commitment to take one yet. They are ready to go in 3 1/2 weeks or they have to go back to the shelter along with their mom. I dread having to do that. So I understand your feelings for Lucy. Stay positive though. Hugs, Deb=^..^=x4 and a few more.

Don't breathe a word of this to my Hub, but I'd take Lucy in a heartbeat! ( and I'm allergic to cats) She is just so sweet.

I know about the special food and $$$. Our airedale eats a special gastro kibble and the large 40 pound bag is $93.00.

Trust me, the cat food is cheap!

...I think we're in for another snowy cold winter. The horses are already growing their winter coats, usually a sign.

I will continue to look for a home for lucy. Will do a post on her again in the next few days also. Such a sweet girl...love the little pink pads.

I hope you find a home for Lucy and wish I could give her one. It would be lovely to have a cat that sat on my lap so I could pet it. Maybe in the future, but not now.
