It's finally done, and if we weren't so tired, we'd probably celebrate.
I am referring to the stair runner, with a couple different landings in pie shapes.
No it is not an optical illusion.....there is an angle on the left side of this piece.
The stairs and the first landing are over 21 ft long......and there is no unobstructed place in the studio to lay that out.
The cardboard templates are under these four pieces, and the 'installers' will put them all down.
I am glad I won't be watching!
Yes, with the completion of this, we are ORDERLESS. But not to worry.
I used to worry. Oh my, yes. I worried that I wouldn't get another one. That the phone wouldn't ring. There would be no email inquiries. Nothing. Nada.
That was then.
I know better now.
The only question is, HOW LONG DO WE HAVE?????
Because the time between orders can be heavenly.
Weaving without pressure. Without deadlines. Without direction.
Just because we want to.
Ah.
That's what I'm talking about.

Everyone loves and needs a break now and then! Would be nice, by the way, to see these rugs installed and how they actually look on the stairway. :-) Bet they will look beautiful.
Wow! Love the angle! Hope you get a picture of the installation! Thank you, by the way, for my lovely, lovely bag of loopers! I am happily making potholders thanks for you!! xo
Wow! What a bit of work that is! Geez! You two are amazing.
I finally practiced properly with my "new" loom today. I was so excited that I actually have something from the loom that doesn't look like a five year old did it. I shouldn't say that, I bet there are five year olds who could make me blush when it comes to weaving!
I'm excited though. I realize I have a long way to go, but it will be fun getting there.
I hope that you get a picture or two after installation. I would love to see how it looks.
I am pretty new to weaving and have made things with an angle but usually that angle goes in toward the middle and then back out. Doing an angle on purpose - well, that's another matter.
Hope you can enjoy your "orderless" bliss for a day or two.
