Crazy as a Loom

Rainy thoughts.

Also wants to come in.  She sits on the porch, talks to us, cries, eats, follows us around, cries some more.
We had a hunch that she might belong to someone, but found out that she does  not.
I really can't imagine that she has a home, if she did, she wouldn't be so thin, or so needy.

She is there first thing in the morning, waiting to eat, and seems fairly happy to be there, so next week, she will go to the vet's.
Then I have to decide..............FIVE cats in the house, or can I find someone to give her a home.

Why does she have to have THAT FACE?????
Sydney had that face.
That look.

Getting ready for the Southern Adirondack Fiber Festival in Greenwich, NY on Sept 24, and 25th.
So I picked up 150 looper looms today.
Lois got busy branding them, before they even came into the studio.

It rained all day, so I decided to weave off the shawl warp on the Macomber upstairs.  I have not woven much on it, and when I do, it's sporadically.  So today, I committed to finishing the shawl I was working on, and taking that and the one behind it, off the loom.
Now that's a problem, weaving a little here, and a little there........you forget what you are doing, what you did, what you wanted to do.
And in this case, I messed up in measuring.  I thought I had two shawls, instead I found out that I had woven ONE really long .............140" shawl.  ONE.  Not two.  I must have thought I ended one, and started the second, but I never did.
So.........I will take the advise of my mentor, Chris, and make a ruana.  I'll keep you posted.

I love  the blog Odd Good True and I especially love her list, Things I Don't Understand.....and quite often, since I started reading her blog, I find myself during the course of a day adding things to my OWN list of Things I don't understand.  I think it helps.  I put them on the list, and then somehow they don't bother me so much.
Today, I don't understand people who still smoke cigarettes.
I don't understand how time flies by so fast.
I don't get at all why Roy insists on licking my face.

There, I think I feel better now.

Also has been through a lot. It's on her face. I live with 5 cats Hilary and it's fine. I still vacuum the same, serve food 3x a day and scoop 'til the cows come home but it would be no different if I hadn't taken on #5 (temporarily anyway) He leaves end of this month. Now I have a homeless mother and three kittens in my spare room. Will I find homes.....for the kittens, yes; for mom...doubtful. So then I will have 5 again.
I don't understand people who have 'call waiting' and while talking to you they get a beep, then put you on hold while they talk to that person. What's with that?
Hugs, Deb

Also is doing everything in her power to charm you. I notice she even has on her lovely eyeliner. She is fetching, a true vision of loveliness. I say FiveSchmive. She will love you as much as Roy does, maybe even more.

Also sure is a sweet little thing. Such a face. With all your animals, don't you think that maybe, just maybe, there is a reason she chose your home to visit??? Some of us just happen to be suckers for animals. (I can say that because "I AM A SUCKER" and proud of it! hahaha Good luck making your decision.

I am afraid that cat would become a member of my household. To brave your other cats and all that goes on in your busy life and still be there to even be still for a picture...well, she belongs to YOU..no pressure though.

You are a busy lady, and I totally understand your never-ending shawl dilemma, been there, done that!( And I don't even have more than my one loom with work in progress)

Ohhh, I had four kitties in my house and it seemed like too much. They were in and out kitties, so three went out one day and I didn't let the back in. I'm mean like that. I also live in 500 sq feet. : -) I like the Things I Don't Understand..it does bring peace doesn't it? You know Hilary - whenever I need a cozy feeling, I come here. Wish I could work at your studio!

Let her come in? But still search for a home. I am going to post her pic and a plea on my blog today, if this isn't OK with you, let me know.
