Cat stories.

After Monday, which was a day straight from hell.....I have had THREE really good days......headache, sure, but it's NOT the boss of me.
Life seems almost normal.  Thank you, thank you.
Even though I know it may not last, I refuse to think about it.   I am only enjoying it.  Stay in the day, that's my motto.

Little cat fight on the porch.....Next is the one with his back to you.....even though they look like twins, Next had the tip of his left ear clipped, so he's easy to identify.
It was a REAL fight this time, Next had a bloody paw.
Mr. Big Testicles, sorry, but it's true, is going to get trapped and escorted to the vet's.  He is a trouble maker, since it is spring, and his hormones are kicking in.  Next, sweet boy, is just defending his territory.

Inside, there was a whole lot of weaving going on.

Well, someone has to supervise.

Lois finished her 'clasped weft', and I think she did an awesome job!!

Periodically, we could hear Next crying, so I had to go out and give him some love.  He is so wild, ya know.
Scary, really.

When I came back in to weave, he sat on the bench, and gave Miss Puss the evil eye.  More likely, she gave HIM the evil eye.

All in all, a pleasant, quiet day, doing what I love.
I am not asking for more.

Happiness, contentment, the health and growth of the soul, depend, as men have proved over and over again, upon some simple issue, some single turning of the soul.

I have a bad back that bothers me about once or twice a year, it likes to remind me who is boss for a week or so and then it passes.

When it passes I really appreciate the good days and how doing simple mundane daily life things is a gift we have to appreciate.

L is very talented, she must have had a good teacher.

Love the ziggety zag pattern going on in that rug... gives it a contemporary look.

Ooh, I love those reds.
I think the sounds cats make when they're fighting is frightening.

Are you finding a correlation between the weather an your headache?

LOL at the name of the intruder cat. It will be interesting to follow the saga of his capture and removal of the "fuzzy dice".

Oh boy ... fight! I am glad you had such a nice run of good days, I hope (I hope I dont jinx it) it continues ...

Rose has pink eye .. I had no idea cats could get pink eye... poor kit .. and now a scratch on her nose (Jack did it, no doubt, he was in her face over sharing that 'cat-mat' you sent).. vet said cats get pink eye (a form of herpes)from stress ...

Tell Lois that looks fresh ... and I love her cat naming process!

These are lovely! Do you use cotton warp and fabric strips for the weft? Thanks for the offer of help as I re-learned how to weave. My piece is finished. Will post pictures Sunday.

Welcome to my world.
