Fiesta time.

I get jeans from a couple of thrift shops that save the rejects for me. They have kept me in jeans now for some time. I usually don't want kids jeans, because they are too small to get any length out of. But from time to time, they appear in the bags. I usually separate them, and drop them in the church box on the way home.
I had saved up a few pair that I thought might fit my granddaughters. And sometimes when they come to play, it is nice to have a clean, dry pair of pants for those times you need them.
Then while cruising the internet one eve, I came apon a picture of a fiesta skirt, and this is what happened.

My husband always says things like, "I don't know why you couldn't just make one."
Huh?

Well, dear, because 'one' was SO cute...........

And because I had 5 pairs of little jeans to work with................

And because a little girl can't have too many skirts................

And because, well, I had to know what just one more would look like...........

And because, well, because I could. Dear.

Should I tell him that I am just getting warmed up???

Nah.

I think that may be a project I could do... once I clean out all of those jeans in my closet that I can no longer fit my patootie and thighs into... you know, the ones I keep saving because I JUST KNOW I am going to lose the weight.

Ya right.

My husband says the same thing. I remember how to do something better if I make 5 and that's always at least 4 more than he thinks is necessary. I love your skirts. I have also seen small bags made of jeans in kid's sizes.

Just for fun I googled "fiesta skirt". Look what I found: http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/23007/

I continue to look forward to your blog each day....even tho after reading it I feel like I have accomplished NOTHING for the day. HA!

I'm a Mam from three boys and I never needed skrits. When I see those lovley skrits I regret it.
Ich bin eine Mutter von drei Jungs und brauche keine Röcke. Wenn ich diese Hübschen Röcke sehe bedaure ich das.

I like the way it just happened. Those are adorable and you do our shared name proud...

"And because, well, because I could. Dear" sounds an awful lot like Sir Edmund's "Because it's there." ;)
