Hilary on Steroids

Yes, it's scary.  For real.

When I went to the ENT to diagnose some sinus problem OR rule them out as a causative factor of my headaches, he put me on a 5 day course of steroids.
He said if I got some relief, that would tell us a lot.

In the meantime, they do some other things.

They upset my stomach...........yikes.
They keep me awake at night.
And they enable me to be a virtual whirlwind at just about everything I do.
It ain't necesarily pretty.
But oh wow, is it ever productive.

 Here it is...........$1000 egg.
I'm kidding.  It might be more, or less.
You know: the chicks, the coop, the run, the automatic door, the feed.

It does kind of feel like you've given birth.   Two eggs so far.  I see an omelet in my future.

While the steroids, and a good friend, have been instrumental in helping me get ready for the sale,
LOIS has been weaving porch rugs.

Over 600 cones of thread organized and ready for SATURDAY.

d

Wool. Cotton.  Rayon.  And a mixture thereof.

Today we bagged up grab bags of fabric......5-10 bags, $5-$10 per bag.  WHAT A DEAL!
I think we bagged up over 500 lbs.
For all those people who have emailed or messaged me that they live TOO FAR AWAY, it's all going on ebay, or on my web site, or both, as soon as the sale is over.  So you will get a chance.
I am seriously downsizing, folks.  In my minimalist mode.  And loving it.

And don't forget looms, and warping boards, and so much more.

Now here's the good, if confusing news.   Today is day 4 of the steroids.  Today is also DAY FOUR of a headache that is THREE or LESS.
Can you spell H.E.A.V.E.N?????????
Because it is.
Speaking of which........here's my angel.
I love her more than words can say.

Oh that beautiful face.
My late husband had chronic sinus problems that were not completely diagnosed for several years. Finally, a very good ENT said he had severe blockage and he had to go in to have surgery to scrape out all the crap. Major breakthrough with headaches and good sleep.
I hope they are on to something for you.

I am picturing Lois trying to snap photos of you and all she gets is blurs. You're wired at the best of times. You must be damned scary on steroids. ;)

A 3, eh? Wooooohooo! Don't you hate/love it when doctors know what they're talking about?

3 is now my favorite number ... I'm happy that your head is cooperating as best it can while you prepare for your sale. Count me among the folks that would love to come shop on Saturday, but I live too far away to do it.

Beautiful eyes. And yay on the lesser headache.

She looks like a Renaissance angel. What a face. Hope the 3 holds out for you! I am with you on the $1000 egg. Everything I have is an expensive pet.

That photo of Dale is an award winner, FOR SURE!!!

Glad your head is better; maybe the bad side effects will lessen?

Can't wait to see what's left after the sale -- do keep us posted.

Happy for you that your headaches are less severe! Please add those new porch rugs to your website soon. Would love to see some large 4x6 or 5x7 Adirondack Lodge Rugs offered for sale on your website, as well as 30" x 100" blue jean rug porch runners!

I hope you get more relief. Have you read the book, The $64 Tomato (I think that's the title) written by a new gardener about 10 years ago.

Welcome to my world.
