Still flooding in the north country. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers.
Since L is the queen of volunteering, right next to her position as the queen of cleaning, she will be on the front lines for the next 5 days or so, leaving me to my own devices.
Things are calming down at my house, and we have a schedule, so I can spend some time at the studio.
Mandatory for my mental health.
Today I did a little inventory check, and found some rugs that, once again, did not make my web site.
So I did some picture taking, logging, listing, and so forth.
Here are a couple of 4'x6' rugs that will not sell if they are hiding.
That's a simple business philosophy I have learned.
Don't list it, don't sell it.
I am such a whiz.
One thing, kidding aside, that I have figured out, is this.
The more rugs I have on my web site to choose from, the more sales I have. Simple as that.
Business 101 by HILARY.
Not really.
I fly by the seat of my pants a lot of the time.
Don't let me kid you.
I have a big container of fabric strips that I have been sewing together in the evenings. My sewing machine is on the kitchen table, for lack of anywhere else to sew, and sometimes when I have seen enough of the Red Sox, or True Crime, I wander out there and sew. I take the resulting balls of color to the studio the next day, and this is what you get.
When I came home today, I saw that the robin wasn't in the nest, so I quick snapped a picture.
Looks empty to me. Seems she's flown the coop.
But look at the work she did!!! And then just to abandon it?
All I did was take a picture of her though the window. I used my zoon lens, so I wasn't even that close.
Maybe she's super sensitive.
Happens to all of us at one time or another.
