Crazy as a Loom

Easy does it.

Oh, for crying out loud.
The wind is whipping.  The thermometer says that it is 30, but the wind cuts you right in two.
It is supposed to be -5 F here tonight.   March has quite the sense of humor.

We did a little moving things around today.  This cupboard used to be sitting on the sideboard, now it is attached to the wall.

I finished the last of ten totes today, so it looks like I will be doing some serious sewing.

I had someone come and look at the stove, but he wants me to move it OUTSIDE for him, so he can just put it right on his trailer.
Get out.
It weighs 600 lbs.  If I could move it around like a box of cotton balls, I probably wouldn't be selling it, I would be moving it hither and yon trying to find a place for it.
So I guess it's not going anywhere any time soon.

There is another outside cat hanging around.  We haven't picked a name yet.
It has a distinctive tail, with rings like a raccoon.

And, yes, Bunnynose is back.  His feelings were a little hurt, but I think he is over it.
Now, it looks like someone else might be taking a trip.
Tomorrow is supposed to be cold, but then it is supposed to get warmer and stay that way for the rest of the week.
That is exciting news.  It's just been a really long winter.

Stay tuned for my new warping method, one I have never tried before.  It is a system perfected and sold by my good friend, Chris, over at Homestead Weaving.

When I left today, I happened to notice Kizzy watching me leave.  It always makes me feel bad.
Thankfully, I am not as much of a softie as I used to be when I was younger.
I guess age has a way of wearing off those vulnerable edges.  I look at the whole picture.
Sometimes the world has a way of hurting you, if you let it.  You have to do the best you can do, and for me, it's a one day at a time venture.
Learned well in the rooms of Al Anon,  I know how to 'stay in the day'.
Yesterday is over, no matter what my losses, tomorrow simply does not belong to me, not yet.
Today, however, is mine.  Mine to get comfortable in, or not.
My choice.
Acceptance is the answer to all my problems today.

An oversimplification?  Maybe.  but it works for me.

Oh, look at Kizzy in the window there. I can't see the little stubby tail, though ~

Got something important to do tomorrow. Hope it goes my way.

How about naming the cat Clooney - kin of like "coon but a but hipper? What does Kizzy think about a new kitty in the 'hood?

You got some good shots of the kitties - one 'visitor' coontail and one sweetheart missing you. :)

I wouldn't feel too guilty about that Kizzy look.....she's probably just making sure that you are really going so she can get into some forbidden thing.

Our current cat watches very carefully when I put away anything she might want later. Sure enough, when I leave the house she has gotten into things none of our previous cats would have been able to achieve. Like getting the soapstone lid off a heavy soapstone jar....without breaking or knocking it off the table.

I'd keep an eye on that Kizzy...one day at a time.

I love the one day at a time wisdom...when it comes right down to it today is the only one that matters...

Hillary, do you use all cotton warp or do you like the poly-cotton warp. As for the stove I would find someone to make like a platform with rollers on the bottom and keep the stove. Thanks for sharing.
