Sunset

My friend and I had plans to go to the ocean just a couple of miles away, to see the sunset, hoping for some good pictures.
But then we had a quick rain storm, and the sky was cloudy and dark in the west.  We decided it was probably not a good time for photos.

Then at the last minute, we said, what the heck, let's just go.

It was a good decision.

We were incredibly surprised, and pleased.

It's just proof to me that no matter how dreary things may get, and no matter how tough life may become, if you are open, and willing to take a chance, beautiful things can happen.

It's so mesmerizing to just sit and watch the sun set. Sounds like the weather and the company really agree with you.

So glad you went to the beach. LOVE the photos! I live on a lake, but there is nothing like the beach.

Wow! Those photos are amazing. Thanks for going, and thanks for sharing.
Hubster and I have talked about escaping winters also. I used to love winter, the cold, the snow. Not so much anymore....I hate FL in the summer, and it's such a dull state, and I believe at some point, it will sink into the ocean long before California will. But at this rate, I'm willing to see if we could swing going to FL in winters....just to escape the East Coast Slump of winter. You're enticing me even more now! Thanks!

How wonderful to have the time to just sit... and click... and take it all in as the sun sinks down below the edge of the water. Ahhhhhhh

The pictures are stunning. Absolutely stunning. My favorite is #3, and the last one with the light off the clouds, well, it made me think of the Sistine Chapel. Beauty.

When I was a little girl I used to try and listen for the hiss of the sun as it set into the ocean and steamed away...

That lovely sunset probably took all of 10 minutes. It goes down so quickly! Love that last picture of the clouds!

Welcome to my world.
