To stress or not to.

Well, I finally did it........I had the MRI.  It's done, and over with.
Let me just say that there isn't much I hate as intensely as I hate that.
But I got through it, and I am happy to have it behind me.
When my doctor reviews it, we're going to have a SKYPE appointment, which is a lot better than driving to Great Neck, NY.
Waiting to hear the results may prove to be a little nerve wracking.

Well, not for everyone, it seems.

Yup, there are those near and dear to me, who will not stress one MINUTE about my MRI results, or anything else, for that matter.
Guess there are lessons to be learned here.

L and I did get quite a bit done this week.
We emptied this old cupboard.

And we put half of the 8/2 unmercerized cotton stash in it.
The rest is in another cupboard.
Wow, I have a lot of 8/2.  More than I realized.
 Organizing is a good thing.

I wound another warp for the Baby Wolf, to do MORE point twill towels on, since I am addicted to them right now.

And then I wound it on over the loom.
Why you ask?
Well, I didn't want to have to thread it again.......so I cut the threads on either side of the harnesses, tied them in big knots, and let them hang........when I get the warp wound onto the back beam, I will tie it on to the old warp, which is hanging right in front of the brown paper roll if you look closely.
Then I will jiggle the knots through the heddles, and resley the reed.
It sounds hard, but it is easier than rethreading all those heddles.

These are my birthday flowers.....they make the whole studio smell like spring.

And even though I have days that are less than stellar, I am still hopeful.
I'm not always even sure where it comes from,  this crazy hope, this wild dream that things will once again feel normal.
But it gets me through the day, so I'll take it.

I'm glad that this part is behind you and I hope it won't be all that long before you have your Skype appointment and have that behind you also. It'll be good.

So you went and had a birthday when I wasn't looking, eh? Big hugs to you my young friend and namesake. May they just keep on getting better from here on in.

Yes, our animals live in the moment and we need to learn from them. I love the old cupboard. It has seen some years. I guess there is no hiding a birthday when you have great friends and family that bestow flowers upon you. Don't forget to eat cake and wishing you a "Happy Birthday, Hilary". Hugs Deb

Your lovely cat reminds me of the story of The Princess and the Pea! Several of my cats also enjoy sitting atop a mound of towels, blankets, or clothes as yours oviously does.

I hope you had a nice birthday... mine is today, also, and I had a fun and relaxing day with a good friend.

Sending you good thoughts for "uninteresting" MRI results. That is one of my least favorite experiences as well, as I'm terribly claustrophobic!

You are a FAST weaver. Wish I could crank out towels as quickly as you do.

I need a pill to get through an MRI. I have all my fingers and toes crossed for "nothing to see here".

Dear Hillary,
Happy Birthday! Sneaky Cheeky! Didn't know it was your special day. Another year, successfully lived. Good girl for getting the MRI - I'm proud of you! You bucked up and were strong and made it through. I used to have no issue with MRI's but then suddenly became very claustrophobic. Now I wear an eye mask and if I can't open my eyes, I'm mostly okay, and I take a bit of an anti-anxiety med if I am nervous before-hand.

Yep, the critters won't much worry because they live in the moment. Not much you can do to control what happens, only how you react to it.

So dearest, you need to weave your heart into what you are making and live every moment of every day to the fullest you can.

When the results come in, I do hope you'll share. Hoping for all good news, and that you are just being "special" and taking a little longer to heal. If that's not it, then you'll face whatever comes. We're here for you!

Hugs!
Martha

Happy birthday!
Doesn't cleaning and organizing feel great? I've been going room by room and was making a big dent, then my middle moved back home, so I have a bunch of stuff again with no place to put it.
Roy looks very comfy with his blankie.
