My granddaughter, Ava, is only SEVEN. Just.
Which is what makes her weaving talents so incredible to me.
She wanted to stay overnight, so she could weave again today.
Which she did.
Weavers......go ahead and lust.........her selvedges are perfect.
Natural born weaver, I say.
Last night, we went for ice cream, then we chased fireflies, or lightning bugs, depending on your preference.
It is easy to forget how much fun the world can be, but when you're around little kids, they are quick to remind you, if you're listening.
We lost a tooth, and the tooth fairy came.
I was pretty shocked when she told me what the tooth fairy was paying these days.
We played 'cats'.
Not sure where she got the idea that cats had ears in the middle of their forehead, but hey, who am I to comment.
And we celebrated flag day 5 days early.
I'm still smiling.
She is such a sweetheart! Weaving like a pro, just like her grandma! :-)))
ReplyDeletelooks like grandma had a good time! yahoo for you both!
ReplyDeleteGrandchildren are the BOMB! In the south, of course, they are simply referred to as Grands. And what better name can their be?
ReplyDeleteOh my.. she's a sweetie. :) :)
ReplyDeleteYou know the saying "We turn into our mother's?...Just thinking why we can't turn into our grandaughter's....I bet we could if we tried.
ReplyDeleteOh, how precious!
ReplyDeleteOkay....so that song and that voice and the sweet smile at the end brought tears of joy to my eyes!

The Gratefulness.org site today says, "May all find simplicity the joyous and practical guide."

I say, "Amen".
Geez...she's so cute. I have this to look forward to with Riley who is now 2. Watch out, Hilary. I started out 'playing cat' when I was her age and now I'm surrounded by them ;-). Love that she is a weaver already. Deb
ReplyDeleteWow! Ava definitely has the weaver gene! Grand daughters are the best. Mine is 12 and tomorrow she is coming to help me in the garden. We use to morph into cats as well. Weaving cat ladies! Candace
