A dirty life???

Quiet day at the studio, getting fabric ready for a big order, when a friend called and asked me if I wanted to go to Manchester with her, and eat at the Panda Moon.
She had a coupon.
It's been a while since we spent any time together, so I said yes.
We all need girl time, yes?

So we went to the Panda Moon, had Sesame Shrimp, and Crab Rangoon, and some rice dish, and then we went to my favorite independent book store, the Northshire Book Store.
Outside there was a sign......AUTHOR EVENT.
So we decided to check it out.
It was Kristen Kimball, who wrote the book, "The Dirty Life".
Now I had heard about this book, but never read it, but my friend was hot to stay for it, so we did.

You can read about the author, and the book, HERE

After hearing her speak, I am sure that I do not want to be a farmer, only an admirer of farmers.

But it was good to have a quiet day alone, and then time out with a good friend.
It was Saturday, after all, and a rainy one at that.

While I was tying some fringe this afternoon, I had company.
Someone who wanted desperately to sit on the placemats I was working on, and I wouldn't let her.

Sigh.

She does have a face that is hard to ignore.
And all the while she is staring at me, she is PURRING.
Which makes it harder to ignore her.

Sydney says:
Resignation is a horrible thing.
