Tales of a cold neck

Anybody else having trouble with Blogger?  I can't for the life of me upload pictures.
So I uploaded them to Picasa, and then copied and pasted them here.  I hope they show up.

I will tell you I have not had a good week.......the low pressure systems that brought the snow, and then the rain, have about done me in.
I feel like I just stepped back 2 months in my recovery.
So once again, it was me coming home after just a few hours.  It seems to be my new routine.   I guess I should be used to it by now.
I can tell you this:  if if the future I find that the northeast in winter contributes to this headache, I will be blogging from some place warm and dry.  I won't really care where.

I have managed to weave a couple of rugs this week, a little at a time.

They are my faves, "container rugs".  Sometimes the combinations of fabric in any given container just work.

I have to be satisfied with what I can do, not what I want to do.
I'm a work in progress.
STILL.

If you get my newsletter, you know that I just sent one out, with some Solmate rugs made from wool.
We used to make them all the time, but Solmate discontinued their wool sock line, and we just had a couple of bags stashed, that L decided she needed to weave up.

They were discounted in my newsletter, and they were gone in MINUTES.  I am not kidding.

And then I got a lot of emails from people who said "do you have any left?", and I had to disappoint them.
So I am going to give my blogger friends a heads up, on my next sale, which will appear shortly......you know, when I am inspired to do another newsletter.

First off, it's for those of you who are addicted to making potholders.
These are bags of small loops, made from LITTLE SOCKS.  They fit smaller potholder looms, OR if you chain two together, you can use them on the HIP TO BE SQUARE loom.
You can also chain them together and weave rugs with them.
The best part about them:  they are BRIGHT colors, with a lot of YELLOW, LIME GREEN, and ORANGE.

I have FORTY ONE bags of these at present.
They are $12.95 per bag while they last.

I am not really into using my blog as a place to sell product, but I just wanted to give YOU GUYS first dibs.  Because you all read my blog, and YOU ROCK.

So now, I am in for the night, keeping heat on my neck......it feels SO good.
Starting my next knitting project.
They just make me happy.

Tell me you could resist these???
NOT.

  2. I've been slacking in my blogging so I can't tell you if pics are a problem or not.
I am so sorry about your neck still giving you SO much trouble. When do you go back to the doc again? Follow-up care? Massage?

How's Roy Boy? Give that little handsome fella a hug for me. I tell you, you lucked out with him - and he lucked out getting you! :-)

    Hang in there. Lovely rugs.
    Always,

  3. Yes. I think a warmer winter environment should be on your list of things to do before the next winter months arrive next November. It's hard to pull up roots and move away but sometimes those who love you, as in grown children, will follow and that's what you should count on. Lovely rugs this week!

  5. I am having trouble with SPAM to my blog! Someone posts a comment, but then it turns into an add for some ridiculous product and a link to "chat!" I am checking almost hourly to delete these and have pretty much decided to switch to Wordpress as soon as I can learn it!
Your photos turned out beautiful though, XOXO

  6. I had a problem for around 3 weeks uploading photos, it was fixed last week. I went to the blogger help forums for answers. During that 3 weeks the work around was to try using another browser (although didn't always work)or to upload pictures in the html mode and then go back to compose to finish up the post - that's what I did. Check out the help forums, see if there's already a thread on the problem, if not start one. Supposedly the problem I was having has been fixed but I've heard of others still having issues.

Love your blog, you write beautifully, love seeing the cats and of course Roy!

  8. Yes, I was having trouble uploading pictures on Blogger, - Morning's Minion suggested using Windows Live Writer to do posts, - works like a charm. Oh, I see someone else has suggested this too.....

On my LeClerc loom I have a silk rag rug in progress, - old silk blouses. The loom is snowed in, in the travel trailer, - longing for spring.

  11. First things first....please take care of yourself and be kind to yourself. I think healing is like anything else in life - cyclical, and will ebb and flow. As far as Blogger goes, I had troubles, and switched my web browser to Google Chrome, and then it worked for me, and has worked since. Hope this helps...

  12. Hilary - the ground-hog did not see his shadow so early Spring is predicted. Hang on to that thought. Drink lots of hot tea and go visit that wonderful bff of yours. This winter will pass and I just know the Spring will make you feel much better.

  14. LOve Love Love the booties.. They are so cute.
Aches and Pains seem to be part of life for me..especially in the cold season. But heat is good.. at least it feels good on a cold winter evening.
Hope your neck gets to feeling better. My daughter is a massage therapist and she gives me massages on a regular schedule.. That seems to help the most.
Have a great week-end..ta ta for now from Iowa:)
