Snap out of it.

Oh, wow.
DH is watching golf, and it is being played in Arizona.
Ah, sunshine.  Green grass.  SUNSHINE.  No snow.

Here is where Cher comes in, with that famous line:
"Snap out of it."
You know what movie that's from?????
SNAP OUT OF IT.

(IT'S STILL WINTER.)

This reminds me of being a kid, the snow banks were always HUGE.

The excitement around here is that I went to the dump today.  Had to do it.
I do not get this mentality.   Blue tarp on your roof?  I don't know, but it seems to me that you would forgo some other things not so crucial, and get your roof fixed.
I would probably be more understanding, but this tarp has been there for a couple of years.

Someone once told me that you can tell how successful a farmer is by how many silos he has.
I have no idea if that is true or not.

This old silo has been abandoned.  Guess that farm didn't do too well.
This old house looks like it needs some attention, but isn't it an interesting old place?

Bees?   I like how they painted them all different colors.


This is the Champlain Canal, a popular place to ride snowmobiles, if you are into that.
I am not.
The north country is beautiful, that is West Mt Ski Center in the background. But I would much rather be showing you pictures of something else.  Some place with a beach.

Today I don't have a lot of patience.  Some days are just like that.  When I was driving today, I called several other drivers names, "moron"  "idiot"  "dimwit"...........not so they could hear me, but still.

Tonight I am doing the same about the ridiculous commercials.
And I can still hear that line.

    lovely pictures, but I know that you are so tired of snow after this winter!
    Traffic was like that here today too..but maybe it was just me?

    We got snow here too. It came last night and left as soon as the sun peeped it's little ol' head over the hillside. We rarely get snow here, so everyone is all excited. I got pictures, but you can't tell it is snow. That's how small the amount was, oh well.
    And then too, I was like 10 miles away from the hillside where the snow was. Still, I got pictures. I know it was there. I know I wasn't there. I was warmer.

    You have more snow down there than we do up here in Northern Ontario!

    Love, Love! Love!! the pictures! That old house makes me wonder who was the las one to close the door and walk away for the last time...It is a wonderful house that has some character and someone made it with great care to detail....what happened to the family? Mysterys that make you go Hmmmm? B

    Moonstruck. One of my favorite movies..

    Love these photos, Hilary.. and that yellow faced house? AWESOME!!!!.....how cool would it be to turn it into an artists enclave? A weaver here, a potter there, a painter upstairs, jewelry maker down the hall...

    Open on Saturdays to people who might like to buy! One can always dream....

    Love the colored bee boxes! Nice look with all the white snow lying about.

    And that blue tarp? Either they never look up and just forgot it's there or they don't have homeowner's insurance and just plain can't afford to fix it is my bet. Kind of sad. :-(

    I am in love with that old yellow house. Yor area has as much snow as the Maine coast. Come on warm weather..

    I concur - I am really tired of the snow. We got a foot overnight on Sunday night, and another foot on Friday. Sigh.

    I also agree that the "snap out of it" quote is from Moonstruck. A great movie. As is Mermaids. Both are great watches on a snowy Sunday afternoon. I'm just saying....

    Silo thing might be true only I think it should be storage buildings. I know we didn't have any silos but did have many granaries and a potato warehouse.

    I love your photos!!!!! I think someone painted the bee hives so the bees know which house is theres. Wouldn't you love to go into the big yellow house? I know I would.
