February and March are birthday months in our family.
Someone turned TEN.
And someone turned ELEVEN.
Someone else is ONE and ONE HALF years old in March.
And as you know, I am older than dirt.
I have been busy moving stuff to the studio. My plan is to take 4 large plastic containers from home to the studio every day this month.
I started with books, the heaviest, and the hardest to move.
I put them where they will live.
I stacked them so they would all fit.
The doors close, so it looks good. I love this old cupboard.
As I am doing this, I am making a large garage sale pile, and I am brutally downsizing. Getting ready to put this house up for sale, and take permanent residence where my heart has been all along.
In the meantime:
We just bagged up 20 more bags of mixed colored loopers. On my web site.
And tomorrow is a trip to the dump, getting rid of a lot of construction debris.
I can't wait.
I am just so happy for you, Hilary. really really really. :-)
ReplyDelete"Happy Birthday" to all those cuties...including YOU. I hope it all goes easy with getting your house ready for sale.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are getting into a major downsizing 30 years of collecting. Major changes are happening here and now the pressure is on to clean out our collected junk. Most of it should have been cleaned up a long time ago and now I am mad at myself for letting it get out of control.
ReplyDeleteKids are growing up so fast!
Your grandchildren are all so beautiful! LOVE the cupboard! And we're downsizing, too, not to move, but just to enjoy our house more. I'm going for joy, easier cleaning, and that light, clutter-free feeling that we always get in hotel rooms and non-fussy B&Bs. ;-)

Happy Birthday!! I love the thought of loosing the clutter... I've been in my home for 24 years. I think the clutter builds when you don't have the motivation of a move to really acknowledge what you have hidden here and there.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your beautiful new/old home!!
happy birthday to all your lovely grand daughters ... and when you're done, please come downsize me
