Maybe the Physical Therapy yesterday did me in.
But whatever the reason, I spent most of today on the couch.
Three steps forward, one step back.
Sigh.
What else can I do??
So without further ado, the winner of the Socketbook is: DARYL.......Onthem104.blogspot.com
I hope she carries it all around NYC, and is my best advertisement!!!!!
Congrats Daryl.
Hi Hilary,
ReplyDeleteI have been looking at your blog for sometime now and I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am you have shared your recent struggles. I used to read this blog to dream about visiting your studio for a class. Then I would check it out to see how your headache was : ( and pray you would feel better soon. Now I want to say thank you because last week my daughter called and said "Mama I have a brain tumor" and I had the courage to tell her "brain surgery, we will get thru this" thanks again for sharing! Much Love, Paula
Congrats Daryl. Hilary..hang in there, girl. Remember 'baby steps' and just focus on the present. If you can muster it give that silly dog a hug for me and here's a big one for you. ((((Hugs)))) Deb
ReplyDeletePoor you.. it's gonna take time. Make sure that next time they know how you felt after the session this time.
ReplyDeleteWoohoo for Daryl. Your beautiful socketbook went to a true fashionista! :)
Three steps forward...one step back; you could be on Dancing with the Stars!! Just keep a smile and and listen to your body. Congrats to Daryl!
ReplyDeleteThose steps backwards are all part of the forward progress, even though it doesn't feel that way. Be patient with your body--it's working hard to heal. Sounds like overall you're doing great. We're all still rooting for you. Take care, Hilary.
ReplyDeleteBecky
Take it easy! Be good to yourself. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner!!
you know i will ... thank you so much ... if Toonman ever sez 'stick a sock in it' ..
ReplyDeleteand of course PT wore you out ... silly you ... did they give you any exercises to do on your own? if so, do them s-l-o-w-l-y
It's hard to think the beginning PT excercises can wipe you out when they appear so simple. But PT is not for babies! Hang in there and take all the rest you can get. It's definitely part of the process.
ReplyDeleteI hope you take the time today to rest from the PT. I remember when I was rehabbing my knee from surgery, it was truly painful, but now it's as good as the other one. Better, in fact. :-)
ReplyDeletePT is not for sissies, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Daryl:-)
