News bulletin: Lois now is adept at weaving clasped weft rugs.
It took her one to practice, but this one for a customer is perfect.
And just in case you thought "Next" was a feral cat, look down in the corner.......this boy is begging for love, all the time.
So next up are a dozen place mats, also an order.
Not my cuppa tea, but I guess they are what the customer wants.
A little plain for my taste, but hey, that's what makes the world go around.
More big news at the studio: the organic wheat berry grass is up, and now the kitties will have their nibbling desires fulfilled.
At home, on my Leclerc compact, I have a towel warp on.
For in my spare time.
On the HEADACHE front.....I have had the best week in 5 months....down to a 3-4 for the last seven days. I am scheduled for steroid injections in both sides of my neck, with the hope that they will settle the headache down even MORE.
Thanks for all your kind words, and for putting up with me through all of this. Your brainstorming and your encouragement have been priceless.
YOU ROCK.
I mean that.
I am giddy thinking about getting back to my old self.
How wonderful! I'm so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy!!!
ReplyDeleteYAY!!!!! Best news about that headache!!!!! Beautiful rug, Lois!
ReplyDeleteAnd I am giddy for you! Squeeeee!
ReplyDeleteBravo to L, too ~
Bravo!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to hear your headache is better!
ReplyDeleteJust a note, I am having a little trouble reading the smaller print in your blog. Could be cataracts. Any chance of the old lettering coming back?
Thank you!!
Mary
Maybe you haven't changed the size of the lettering.
ReplyDeleteI need to get my eyes checked.
Thanks!
Mary
No...You rock! You have been an absolute inspiration to me.
ReplyDeleteAnd L rocks too! That rug is fantastic! (I think she has a great teacher though too!)
I'm so glad the headaches are abating. It's been a long haul which I hope is really coming to an end for you. I look forward to when you post that you went all week without any pain and didn't realize it until you actually had to think about how long it had been. Won't that be nice?
ReplyDeleteYay for some relief! Glad things are looking up for you.
ReplyDeleteGiddy UP! yes, UP!!!! Hilary, you are one very fine trooper. I am inspired by your tenacity.
ReplyDeleteI wish for you Good Health!
ReplyDeletemark
It's a beautiful thing!!!!.....
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear how well you are feeling ... I am loving the weave in the last shot .. is that a dish towel?
ReplyDeleteLove the blue warp in the second picture. That is one of my all time favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteI've got to tackle the clasp weave again. I tried on a placemat, but it just didn't work out. I ended up with lumps where the clasps were. I guess it just takes practice. I think I'll try again after my scarf is finished. (Or maybe I'll try it on my rigid heddle. That should work, I think.)
YES!
