Time to move....stuff.

After taking a long walk with Roy bright and early, I headed to the studio.  I have to beat myself to walk in the morning.......but once I get out there, I love it.  Go figure.

Next is waiting for me on the porch every morning.  The cat who used to run, now sits and lets me pet him, and even rolls over on his back for a little belly rub.
Unfortunately, he wants to come in.
I am very hesitant to bring another male cat into the house.  Besides, that would make FIVE.  And remember, I drew the line at FOUR.  He needs a home.   I figure he's about 2 years old, and I know he is neutered, because L and I trapped him last year, and had it done.
And I think maybe he needs a better name, something other than "Next".

About half way through the day, while I was busily weaving placemats on my new 'spring' warp, I decided to take some pictures.  That's when I realized that I had left my camera home.  First time in a LONG time.  I never leave the house without it.  Well, I can't say never anymore.

So, I took pictures with my Iphone.  Not as good, I know.

The warp I just put on is sage green, pale yellow, pale blue, and tan, for some bright, cheery placemats.

This is the pale yellow one that I just finished.

And I moved some furniture around.  I was going to wait for help, but couldn't contain myself.
This is just inside the door, and I am going to clean off the shelf, and use it for retail display.

I moved the chunky rug/sweet bottoms display into the front room.
Now I want to have some better lighting put in that room.
And the Union loom needs to come out.

Why do I keep moving things around??  you might ask.
I can't explain it, but sometimes things just don't feel right.   It doesn't have the proper flow.
The space annoys me, and calls out for help.

When I get it all moved around, it will be serene and perfect for awhile.

Until it isn't.
Then we'll do it all over again.

  1. You ought to check out the ideals of Feng Shui. That might be why things don't feel "right."

  2. The pale yellow is just wonderful! Wish I had a place for something like that... I think my pups would have it dirty all the time though... but I'm tempted anyway. LOL

  3. I am so glad I am not the only one who needs to constantly move stuff around. Now if I got rid of some more stuff perhaps I would get it out of my system.

Whatever happened to Lucy? I believe she was renamed smokey? I hope she found a new home too!

  6. I get antsy about where things are in my house. My girls roll their eyes...Oh Mom's at it again. Stuff moves, stuff gets donated, stuff gets boxed up and taken to the recyclers. I used to pack up and move when I was younger and felt antsy. Now it isn't that easy to move and I like my house, so I move things!

  7. I move things according to which power outlets are working.

I suppose I ought to get an electrician in here to fix that.

  8. I've actually found myself in that same situation - accidentally leaving my camera at home and finding myself stuck with my iPhone. I'm pleased with the pictures but getting them onto my computer has been confusing. Hope you get the hang of it better than I have.

  9. I don't think there's anything wrong with moving things around. I admire your energy and your verve!

  10. I'm feeling that way about my bedroom lately.

Perhaps Next could be a Nate. Or Nix... as in Stevie. (one of my favs).
