In fact it stinks.

Cuz he's a leavin' town.
He's leaving on the back of a pickup truck, with the Adirondack Nuisance and Pest Control. He's moving at LEAST 5 miles away, and I think the whole hamlet of Kingsbury will be glad he's gone.
He's very nice looking, but he smells BAD.
Now it's time to board up all the holes where he's getting into the barn, and going under the floor.
While I was waiting for his ride to come, I put another warp on the Hammett.....just 50 yards this time.
I am still weaving with this awesome floral fabric that I love, so I just tweaked the colors a bit.
I used the same red and ecru, but I ditched the yellow, and changed from a light minty green to an olive green. I kept a little of the dusty rose.
Stinky and sweet.
That's the way it is today, folks.
All in all, a good day.
So long Whitey, you caused a BIG stink around those parts, but no longer :)

ReplyDeleteEvery few evenings, I smell a whiff of skunk when I open the door to let the dog out. On a couple of occasions, said skunk was just outside the backyard fence. Thank goodness it wasn't INSIDE the fence. Glad your skunk is moving on to different digs.

Good riddance to him, but are you 100% sure he didn't have a little den of small ones? I remember many winters where we wouldn't be allowed near the neighbours garage because of the family that took up residence for the winter...they usually vamoosed in the spring. Watch out for the little ones! They stink too!
ReplyDeleteTHAT does not look like a skunk. Do you have more pictures of it? My husband is a trapper and would be interested in how that skunk looks.
ReplyDeleteAround here, when we start smelling skunk, it means spring is not far behind. The first whiff of that stinky smell as I am driving down the highway, kinda makes me happy.
I wouldn't want it under my house though, that's for sure!
