I think there is change in the air, more change.
Sometimes, I am not good with change.
You know? Your life may have its rough spots, but you get used to it, and comfortable, and not inclined to move away from that place where everything is familiar.
Then life comes along, and quite often, you aren't offered an alternative.
Change.
Why do we resist?
The Toika is waiting for L and I to finish the third big piece of a HUGE rug.
Union Custom #1 is threaded for 3'x5' Walking on Sunshine Rugs, but they are not a priority right now.
The Union Special is threaded with denim blue, for blue jean rugs, again, not a priority at present.
The Reed Ideal has over 500 yards of black warp, specifically for 2'x3' and 2'x4' walking on Sunshine Rugs, and L weaves them whenever she has time.
The Cranbrook, that I have finally become very fond of, still has a lot of dark brown warp on it, I work on it whenever I can. I am really loving this loom, so funny, since I was determined to get rid of it for years.
The Union 36 is threaded for table runners, because my stock of them is very low.
The Hammett is the loom I am using to make the Log Cabin placemats on, I started another set today.
Union custom #2 is threaded in off white, we just finished a 12' runner on it.
The wolf pup is empty, and waiting for me to put a mug mat warp on it.
As I wandered around the studio, looking at what I have planned to do, what I need to do, and what I want to do, I felt somewhat overwhelmed. I didn't even go upstairs, where four more looms are threaded, and waiting for me.
Did I mention the loom in my own living room???
How many is that???? I think I lost one.
I perused the containers of blue jeans to be cut and sewn. The bins of socks to be cut and sewn. The loom kits that need to be made up.
The loopers that need to be sorted.
I'm not sure where all this is going in my head, I just feel that I need to change some things, and I'm not sure what. Time to re-evaluate.
Listen to Roy....he's very wise.
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... take a deep breath and do listen to Roy. Perhaps things will seem a bit more settled tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteOne thing at a time, that is how we all get through it.
ReplyDeleteLove Roy, what a photogenic fella he is. Perfect!
You certainly have a whole lot going on at once. Roy's the boy... listen to Roy.
ReplyDeleteYes. Change. We feel it more, I think because the whole Universe is changing at the same time, it seems.
ReplyDeleteThe only constant in life IS change...
More and more and more is not always better.
ReplyDeleteFollow your heart, what ever it is telling you, and use your great helper L to do the things at the studio your heart doesn't want to do. As we get older is very and so important to do what the heart says. So weave what you want and play more....much more...with the kids and Roy and your daughters and friends.
ReplyDeleteRoy Boy is correct! Listen to your inner self without doubting what it is telling you and all will work itself out. hugs....
ReplyDelete...and really, that's all you need to know.
ReplyDeleteIf you're feeling overwhelmed, there's too much on your plate. Lighten the load. Let it go.
(((HUGS))) Maybe you're feeling the need to change?
ReplyDeleteRoy is right. Whatever happens, it'll be ok. It has to be with that brilliant boy next to you.
How's hubby?
Oh, and here (((HUGS))) - it never hurts to have lotsa hugs.
Martha
I like the way you said that certain projects were not a priority right now. Just take that a step further and line them all up on a bulletin board and tackle them one at a time, or 2 since you have such good help! (You may be able to find a willing teenager to help you with the kits.)
