These are what you call the dog days of summer.
"What does that mean".....asks Roy.
Well, Roy, that is why Mommy carried a liter of water with us when we went for a walk.
And a plastic dish.
And thank you for letting me have a few sips.
"(yawn) You're welcome, Mommy."
My mind is blank, my shuttle is empty, and I am whipped from all this heat and humidity.
That's my story.
What's yours?
Same here... I HATE SUMMER.. there, I said it, even though I should never use that 4 letter 'H" word. Could we just get it over with puhleeeze!!!
ReplyDeleteWill send you some cooler breezes from up here in Canada...actually was pleasantly surprised there was a breeze today...seems like it had been gone so long.
ReplyDeleteI wish for a whole year of September weather :-) The sun always seems happiest in Fall.
Gosh, have I said before how much I'm in love with Roy? :-)
ReplyDeleteSuch a handsome dude..........
We are finally getting a break - it's only in the 90s instead of the 100's here in VA....and today was almost bearable as far as humidity...
I hope you get a break soon cuz I know it stinks. Before you know it, we'll both be talking about the S word!!!!!!!!!
Stay cool.....
Martha
Still over 100 here in Oklahoma. I'm patiently waiting for Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHere in Minnesota, the humidity is still high, but the temps have dropped and will be in the high 70's this week. You should be getting some better weather soon. Hang in there.
ReplyDeleteAt least Roy will go for a walk when it gross out, my collie Annie will go so far, then she puts the breaks on and looks as if she is going to pass out. We've had to start walking at 5:30 a.m. I don't mind though, the sun rising is gorgeous.
Come to (ahem) "sunny" California! You will be relieved, you will be refreshed! You will love it for a minute! It has been overcast for days! Months? It's the winter ever spent during summer! We are at literally 60 degrees or lower!
ReplyDeleteI'm at that stage in my life where I suffer from 'glistening'....HOT flashes.....icck. In 90 degree weather with 90% humidity, I can't even do needlework. My hands get so sweaty sock yarn won't flow, my penny rugs are hot on my lap, and primitive hooking just doesn't work either!. So, I set up a fan outside the sewing room door (to suck the AC in to that room) to make that room bearable! We were in Northern Quebec 2 weeks ago. Beautiful blue skies, blanket weather at night and swimming in the clear cool lake in the daytime. Even September in SE PA is HOT and HUMID. Looking forward to a cooler fall, for sure!
