Playing with color. And pie.

I prayed to the pie crust gods last night, about 10:30.   I had to make a chocolate cream pie for a birthday,
and I left it too late.
I was particularly careful in my measurements.......and the pie crust gods smiled.
I gave thanks.
And then, because I am NOT a chocolate cream pie lover, I made a coconut cream pie, as well.
Now you're talking.

Tell me this is not a thing of beauty.

This pie was so freaking good, it didn't even need whipped cream.
It was good WITH whipped cream, but it didn't need it.

I had an empty loom, my Macomber 32".   The threads are still through the reed and the heddles, from the shawls I made on the last warp.
So I put a new warp on, same width, and I will tie the new threads on to the old ones.

I love playing with the colors.  I put enough on for 5 shawls.

L helped me wind, and it was done in a jiffy.

I wound what was left over on my spools, into this little ball, so the spools will be freed up for next time.

Yes, I admit it, I am a freak for color, and it DOES sustain me.
But then, so does coconut cream pie.
I could do a giveaway for pie, but you would have to come and fetch it.
