I am still weaving, weaving. I listened to all of your comments, and it seems that Tote #1 was the hands down most popular.
So......
I found that sewing them together first made the weaving go faster, so much for my original idea.
So I am working through a garbage bag full of brightly colored strips, and ordering more straps.
This little guy looked right into the lens.
The birds were going crazy, from one bird feeder to the other. I counted several pairs of cardinals, their bright red color brightens any day.
I never tire of them. How could you?
See all those little blotches of red. In a gray world, they are welcome sights.
Good things can happen. Even though sometimes it seems that the news is full of bad things.
You only have to look around you.
There are good people, and good deeds. Loyalty and love. There are things to fight for, things to admire, things to cherish. Family, friends, home, country.
Brings to mind one of my favorite quotes.

I captured a cardinal today and made it my header... I can tell you I have never seen as many together at one time as you have in that photo...WOW, just beautiful. That kind of things gives me the chills and a watery eye, for real :-)

ReplyDeleteOh gosh, all those cardinals! The cardinal is one of my totems! They have amazing Indian medicine. If you don't have it, you should get the book "Animal Speak," which is an awesome resource about the spiritual qualities of specific animals based on Native American lore. I should look up "cat" for you because I bet it has lots to say. :) Oh, and I love your totes!

ReplyDeleteFull of lovely color as usual. The cardinals are beautiful. My dad's business before he retired was Cardinal Manufacturing. I was a teen when he went into business and never heard why they called it that. I will have to ask him!

On a down note...did you hear that there's a new law in NYS - it's illegal to feed the bears, whether purposely or incidentally, such as when your bird feeders are visited by bears. I had to stop feeding the birds here years ago -- mama bear & 2 cubs within 15 feet of my front door put the skids on that! But maybe the bears aren't an issue near you? I know you'd HATE to stop feeding the birds.
