Blah, blah.

I had a dentist appointment, which got me to the studio later than usual. I only had the morning, so I got right to work.

I needed to put a warp on the Toika, for a 6x9 blue jean rug.

I had to leave early, but before I did, I walked from room to room, thanking my lucky stars for this incredibly great place to work.

Kizzy, my Kizzy, threw himself down on the floor in front of me, his way of getting my attention.

The shelves are all stocked.

Mrs. Olsen, my old friend the dress form, is naked. Sold her wool/silk ruana yesterday. Now I have to find some time to make her something new. She would like winter white. So she says.

Yes, I am somewhat nuts, talking to a dress form.
Sometimes it's just easier than talking to real people.

  1. I love that little stool you have there! Did you get it someplace special or just a office supply place? I also like the taping idea on setting on your warp....I may steal that technique from you next time I set my loom with thin threads.

Happy Fall! It is my favorite time of year.

  5. Even though I just found your blog yesterday, I'm already hooked! (no pun intended!) Can you tell me what you use when warping with all those colorful threads? I just love the picture of the mug rugs and really love the multi colored fringe. So soft looking and colorful. Thanks! Be blessed!

  6. I am so intrigued by your life...
I found a "frame" in my garage the other day and yesterday I turned it into a loom. I played with it a little and now have a 3" by 3" weaved something. I'm so excited! No tools, just a frame and some old yarn! I weaved!
Thanks to finding your blog and reading about what you do. I had to try it for myself...this is going to be fun!
