As a hospice nurse, I am convinced that you will meet again someday. I've seen too many explainable things to think otherwise. I lost my sister to cancer 2 years ago... my best friend and only sibling. Not what I expected in my early 50's. Things are never the same, but it does get easier.
That is one lucky pup.. looks like a nice fit for their family! I bought two of your tea towels years ago... you mailed them all the way to California... I will have to get a mobius from you when your stock is back up. BTW, I love the cards!
Devonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05563150483422859462noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-20208883855703492922019-08-12T15:55:00.832-04:002019-08-12T15:55:00.832-04:00Well, that was an up-lifing post although i am ver...Well, that was an up-lifing post although i am very sorry for the loss of your life-time friend. I think you are dealing with it in the most comforting of ways and I, too, believe that you will meet again. I lost my best friend to cancer nine years ago. I was truly lost without her as she was my side-kick and with whom I spent most of my time when not with family. I know that empty feeling when you have to say good-bye. Time will heal and your wonderful memories with her remain. I have siad before how I love your work. The shawls are beautiful and your cards are so creative. Gorgeous. And I am so happy for little Penny. :-)
Bless her heart and her new family. xoDebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06817710263282488135noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-64868385842787657562019-08-12T15:27:45.834-04:002019-08-12T15:27:45.834-04:00I love reading your posts, but this one truly stru...I love reading your posts, but this one truly struck a chord. Deep long lasting friendships are so rare nowadays, so it's always so sad when one gets put on hold until another realm.

And such a touching story about Penny! My first dog was named Penny, and we had her from when I was 5 until I was away at college. She was the only family member to get up early with me when my HS went into double sessions and I had to leave ridiculously early. And she was always there to greet me when I got home. My heart shattered when we had to put her down.

This little Penny looks absolutely ecstatic to have found her new forever home!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04694133084432653541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-86796063254828526392019-08-12T12:19:22.943-04:002019-08-12T12:19:22.943-04:00Beautiful post! My best friend (from the age of 5) died 2 1/2 years ago so I know just how you feel over the loss of your best friend (and your cousin). Some people are just irreplacable.

I know what you mean about the Fairs you do too. We sell antique weaponry and collectables/furniture and sometimes when we have back-to-back Fairs - and the 2nd Fair might be at quite a distance and we have to be up at "silly-o'clock" I think, we're getting too old for this. It takes half a week to recover!

I love those cards you have been making and I'm not surprised they sell so well!

As for the little dog your daughter has taken on, what a happy ending. She looks one happy wee dog now!Bovey Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13117332471600275100noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-27629731118772607412019-08-11T21:06:07.688-04:002019-08-11T21:06:07.688-04:00I do like your mobius shawl. Actually, I have a plan, but need to get more off the loom to do it.
That little dog is so pleased. May her final landing be just as happy. Good for your daughter for matchmaking.Joanne Noragonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16601010208310707750noreply@blogger.com
