I always felt like I was pretending, second-guessing myself. What a wasted and useless enery that was. I was so busy staying afloat and keeping my family going that it was years before I got to smell the roses and I must say that I think they smell very nice.Sharonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06432035940956042729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-58823858067049465492010-10-24T12:34:18.254-04:002010-10-24T12:34:18.254-04:00Beautiful.

Before driving to another town for lunch we drove by our old apartments, when four of us lived right next to each other. We were all single, young, broke. We enjoyed very simple things back then, too. A beer together on a Friday night, potluck, knowing there were others that cared about you within calling distance..Thanks for the reminder.

Love the song.Nancyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13178290697351352495noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-7514427231650677132010-10-23T23:26:14.373-04:002010-10-23T23:26:14.373-04:00I really don't want to grow up. I think I appreciated more when I had to work harder for it. In this bad economy and as I am aging... GRACEFULLY..Ha! .. I am once again trying to appreciate all that is good.

Love that rug :-) and the kitty.Karen thisoldhouse2.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03302171590212119499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-71460680331967272552010-10-23T22:33:54.122-04:002010-10-23T22:33:54.122-04:00I don't think I felt like a "real" a...I don't think I felt like a "real" adult until after I had lost both parents. Can't explain why exactly....probably because as a single person it was the first time I felt as if there was no one for me to fall back on. I was truly on my own in this great big world. Also....making a will sealed the deal for me!joyceettahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00917345843912445569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-86415059973259736892010-10-23T21:39:47.903-04:002010-10-23T21:39:47.903-04:00I never really thought about when I really grew up...I never really thought about when I really grew up. I too raised my daughters on my own. Never even gave it a thought that it might have been a struggle, but I do remember not having everything we wanted. We had all we needed. Now I am thinking about it and I'm really thinking I haven't quite grown up yet. Especially when I think about the wonderful fun day at work I just had, laughing like a school girl, until tears ran down my cheeks and my stomach hurt. At work, mind you! IT WAS FUN!!!
I don't want to grow up.claudiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16572555442321120647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5818397854598010989.post-75717587286039720772010-10-23T21:02:05.140-04:002010-10-23T21:02:05.140-04:00What I like about my life now is how I am grateful...What I like about my life now is how I am grateful for what I have right now...not a lot...but enough....and it is what I have created for myself. My childhood was not the easiest but it has made me realize that life is full of moments to be treasured..you never know what tomorrow brings..but today, is a moment I made, I enjoyed and I shared with the one I love. What more do we need?

Your pictures are moments you enjoy and share with the world, and I wish to thank you for that and I admire your rugs.
